New post put up but no sign Cumber Drice Brixham
7th June
On 13/8/24 I reported that the sign had been knocked over. It was removed. Then the Council put in a new post. But the sign which was to show how pedestrians could walk through to Furzham Road has never been replaced. A waste of time and money putting in a replacement post and then not putting anything on it.

Long grass and weeds.

Areas in Cumber Drive, Cumber Close and foot path by Cumberland Green need the grass and weeds cut down as it is now in some places about a meter high. These areas always seem to be at the back of the queue for maintenance.

Road cannot cope with ambulances
10th May
On Thursday 1 May an ambulance was stuck on the bend. Slipped back on road surface. Needed to be pushed by crew and passers by. This not safe for patient in ambulance. In addition I worry that my newly plastered house will again get hit by a sliding vehicle. They missed by inches.

Sign for car aprk turned wrong way Brixham
3rd May
There is a directional sign for car parking (a white P and 214 on a blue background) on the perimeter of Battery Gardens at the junction of Northfields Lane and North Furzeham Road. It has been turned around so it can be seen by people who are in the park but bot by drivers travelling along Northfields Lane . Simply needs turning 45degrees.

Public toilets Bank Lane Brixham look filthy
3rd May
The photos show a clean looking public toilet at Broadsands beach. The other two photos show toilets at Bank Lane Brixham which look filthy. It may ne that the material the toilets are constructed from mean that bleach cannot be used. But there must be some appropriate toilet cleaner which can clean them.

Parking restriction sign missing on Berry Head Road Brixham
28th April
Until recently there was a sign on street light 11 on Berry Head Road Brixham which advised that there is 'No parking between 8:00 am and 6:00pm 1st May to 30th September.' It is now missing. I have not seen any notices on street lights in that area advising a change in parking restrictions so I am assuming that I could park there between 1st Oct to 30th April. Yesterday someone had and they had a parking ticket on their car.

Parking restriction signs missing on North Furzeham Road Brixham
28th April
On North Furzeham Road Brixham there are 3 poles (situated on opposite side road between the street lights 5 and 9). I am confident that until quite recently they had signs on stating 'No motor caravans between 8:00pm and 8:00am'. Someone who did not know about the parking restrictions might get a parking fine.

Car blocking pavement
12th March
A car was parked outside the hoarding adjacent to Sainsbury's. It was blocking the footway and forced pedestrians into the road to get past. This isn't the first time a car has parked here. More traffic patrols needed along New Road so pedestrians can walk safely to Sainsbury's without being forced into the road to get past parked cars.

Blocked 'pavement'
12th March
Cars park too close to the road and block the 'pavement' space outside numbers 56 & 64 New Road. The pavement is very narrow that side of the road (after crossing to walk to Sainsbury's) and where there is access to the houses up behind the main road, the cars park right down, too close to the double yellow lines forcing pedestrians into the road to get past.

Overgrown hedge on North Boundary Road Brixham
11th March
On North Boundary Road (see map) there is a sort of lay by. On one part of it the hedge from an adjacent property has grown so much it is partially blocking the pavement. Anyone using a mobility scooter or wheelchair or pushing a pram or pushchair would struggle to get by, Plus it is frequently used to deposit dog poo bags.
