Child injured after being hit by car in Maidstone
A nine-year-old girl was struck by a car as she crossed a road in Maidstone. Kent Police were called to the scene on Oak Tree Avenue at the junction with Mangravet Avenue at about 21:00 BST on Monday, 23 June. The driver of a black hatchback car was believed to have initially stopped before leaving in the direction of Grove Road. The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance and is not thought to have suffered any serious injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses and have asked anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
