Dislodged heavy trangular iron from a three -metre deep Severn Trent Foul water inspection shaft.
18th May
At 1pm on Friday 16th May 2025, i visited my mums at 12 Lodge Road Talke pits and 2 neighbours were out in the street outside my mums house with a hugh concern i was told a white telecommincations van had mou ted the pavement ,and dislodged tbe heavy trangular iron over from the 3 mertre deep Severn Trent foul water insoection grid. The vehicle had driven iff with out reporting it . The now uncovered deep shaft presented a severe hazard to adult and child pedestrians .Neighbours foubd 2 unused traffic warning codes and one neighbour added 2 small railings to act as a warning. Staffirdshire police were calked and incident number was recorded 355. John Honey set MBE called Staffordshire County Council and spoke to operator Sylvia priving her with full details .She logged the incident and said some one would be out with in 2 hours to make the site safe .No one came so neighbours men folk worked hard to move this iron cover that required a machine to lift it. They used spades and other tools to nanage to manover the iron trangular back in to its correct position leaving cones on top to mark the site . It was akso attached with heavy concrete .This poor response by responsible authorities to this potentially dangerous incident wants investigating and accountability for whos responsible for this .

Foot wide pothole travelling downhill on Mount Road
24th December
Pothole has been growing for over a year now. I reported to the council about 6 months ago, they say its not a safety issue in two separate reviews. Problem is to avoid hitting it you have to drive nearer the centre of the road risking hitting someone on the other side of the road. Strangely the council have made repairs to other potholes within 150 yards on the same road. I cant see why this is not a priority as it sits right in the driving line and is about 10cm deep.

Significant set of lights still not working.
3rd October
Majority of street lights on the a34 over the a500 including slip roads to the a500 have failed and been out for years. This is a key junction. The turning for peacock hay cannot be seen in poor visibility. The whole a500 ref lighting is nothing short of a farce. Endless sections out. These are national highway lights and not local authority , accepting one or 2 may be part of their ownership. Do national highways actually care or do their job ? You have a statuary obligation to maintain national roads but little interest in fixing issues.
