On the uphill side of the road after the straight that comes after the bridge.
5th July
There is a massive pothole in the side of the road that means cars need to come out before the blind bend and potentially into oncoming traffic that they can only see at the last moment.
There are several other small pot holes in the side of this lane further to those big enough to report, so it might be better value to solve them in one visit.

Row of cottages 71 Cambridge Road Dunton
19th June
Please note there is not a category for traffic calming measures/speed limits.
For decades the residents of this row of cottages have been petitioning for a change of speed limit. There have been fatal RTCs outside these houses, several near misses and 8 resident cats have been killed. Children leave their houses and walk to school on a narrow path next to this road where vehicles fly by at 70mph+. The residents have to pull out of a steep driveway directly onto this road. The speed limit in the centre of the village is 30mph. Around 30m before this row of cottages (which still count as the village), it changes to national speed limit on a long straight stretch. Regularly cars go over 80mph past. Last year a poor man died on his motorbike as a car overtook at excessive speeds, the residents of the cottage witnessed it directly outside their window, luckily the car did not crash into the houses. It is not safe for a residential area with children and a such small effortless change could save so many lives. Please consider extending the 30mph limit until the end of the village, which ends at 71 Cambridge Road, Dunton. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Bridleway gate on land between Council land and the meadow used to graze sheep(behind Chequers Public House)
1st May
The bridleway gate is inappropriate. It is not the most appropriate bridleway gate, does not open fully and the springs are too strong. I had an accident at the weekend whilst passing through the gate on a horse, resulting in a visit to hospital. Please can this situation be recitifed to a more horse rider friendly gate appropriate for a bridleway.

Road surface is breaking up as pot holes merge and become bigger. This extends across entire road. This damage cannot wait until July before it is fixed. Its a B road with large vehicles and agricultural vehicles using it daily which aggravates problems.
