Immediate Safety Concern: Obscured Road Signs
10th August
I am reporting a severe safety concern regarding obscured road signs at the intersection leading to Mount Pleasant Lane. This issue has been ongoing for some time, but the signs are now completely covered, posing a significant risk to motorists. The key problems are: * Completely obscured signs: Crucial directional signs pointing right towards the A414 and Birchwood are no longer visible. * Partially obscured weight restriction sign: A vital weight restriction sign is also obscured, which could lead to inappropriate vehicles using mount pleasant lane. * Redirected traffic flow: Because the signs are covered, traffic that should be directed to the right for the A414 is instead mistakenly turning down Mount Pleasant Lane. This is creating unexpected and potentially dangerous traffic conditions on a road not designed to handle this volume, speed or type of traffic.
To illustrate the issue, a photo from Google Maps showing the signs when they were last visible in 2022 has been included.
The current lack of signage is a direct cause of misdirected traffic and presents a clear and present danger to drivers, pedestrians, including primary school children and residents. Immediate action is required to clear the signs and restore proper traffic guidance.

Badly maintained hedges
18th July
Contractors for the council have left mass amounts of branches from trees and large parts of hedges strewn across the pathways at KGV playing fields. The hedges around the old childrens park and also where the old putting green used to be (adjacent to the area of the bowling greens) have been hacked back and damaged so severely and unprofessionally it looks like the work has been done by imbeciles. The council and their contractors should be held to account and proceed to put the unsightly damage right. Come on WHDC, its meant yo be a garden city NOT a bomb site, if the residents of the conservation area were to cause such damage to the hedges and trees in their gardens, the council would be down on them lie a ton of bricks with large fines
