JAYWALKING - pedestrians crossing when the lights are on GREEN to traffic

07.08.2025 approx 0825Hrs, as I slowly approached the crossing from the roundabout (The Campus) two males crossing in opposite directions this is despite the traffic lights being on GREEN to me. This crossing needs to be barrier operated to stop them crossing like cattle when the lights are on green to traffic. I have a blast on the horn, and one of them then made a rude gesture that I could see from my rear view mirror. Too busy on their phones or listening to music to care about road safety and they don't like being told off. What's the point having a crossing when even worse, quite often student types will cross before the crossing and appear from the bushes and just cross in front of traffic with not a care in the world We need laws like in the U.S. to stop Jay Walkers as a matter of road safety. Its a fair bet that other law abiding motorists have also had to suffer this too.

A truly antisocial individual has dumped a chest of drawers & othe iems on the top end of the walkway from Panshanger Drive to Moors walk just where it meets Panshanger Drive. They must have either driven or had a trolley as this rubbish is too big to be carried!! Thyey should be caught & punished for spoiling our area.

Badly maintained hedges
18th July
Contractors for the council have left mass amounts of branches from trees and large parts of hedges strewn across the pathways at KGV playing fields. The hedges around the old childrens park and also where the old putting green used to be (adjacent to the area of the bowling greens) have been hacked back and damaged so severely and unprofessionally it looks like the work has been done by imbeciles. The council and their contractors should be held to account and proceed to put the unsightly damage right. Come on WHDC, its meant yo be a garden city NOT a bomb site, if the residents of the conservation area were to cause such damage to the hedges and trees in their gardens, the council would be down on them lie a ton of bricks with large fines

This sign and sandbags have been left after roadworks. How long have they been here? They're just as bad as the litter around them. They show that the council don't care about the 'Garden' of Welwyn Garden City. Please can these be removed as soon as possible. Thanks.
