I hope this message finds you well.
Im writing to raise a concern shared by many residents regarding the increasingly poor condition of the roads and footpaths in our neighbourhood. Over time, theyve become uneven, badly eroded, and in some places, quite dangerous. Cracks, and worn surfaces are now commonplace.
Not only is this a real safety hazardespecially for children, elderly residents, and anyone with mobility issuesbut it also detracts significantly from the look and feel of the area. Many of us have chosen to live here because of the community spirit and charm, but the condition of our streets doesnt reflect the pride we take in our surroundings.
I understand that resources are limited, but I sincerely urge the council to prioritise repairs or at least assess the worst-affected spots. A well-kept road and footpath network makes a huge differencenot just in terms of safety, but in how we all experience and enjoy the place we call home.

Cars parked on yellow lines

I wrote some weeks ago about a car that parks on a yellow line in the morning rush hour, obstructing traffic and pedestrians. Today there were four cars parked on yellow lines all of whom park there and then go to the rowing club. The disruption to the free-flow of traffic was significant, with cars backing up on the bridge. I think these cars on the yellow lines are a significant safety risk and I would like the council to paint double yellow lines so prevent this from happening - or, better still, double reds.

Dangerous lack of visibility

The whole of this roundabout and its approaches need cutting back to improve vision. This is a blackspot for accidents and the lack of visibility is extremely dangerous. When using it yesterday we saw 2 near misses as traffic both approaching and on the roundabout is impossible to see.

Junction of Pinewood Lane with Harwood Road

Where the roads meet the white lines have faded so some people coming from the cul-de-sac are just driving straight as there are no markings to advised that they need to look to their right as they have right of way. This has previously been reported but has not been resolved. Lines at the other end of the road have been refreshed but not this junction.

Vehicles parked on and blocking shared pathway
12th June
1 car and 1 van parked on shared cycle/pedestrian pathway opposite Tin Town in Marlow Bottom. Manner in which they have parked, very close together, has left little room for buggies and bicycles to get through. The vehicles have been repeatedly parking like this.

Footpath problem across the road from the dental surgery

Pathway is uneven and tarmac chunks taken out of it making it a trip hazard. Lady fell and broke her hip on 20th May. This is across the road from the dental surgery on Station Road.

Faulty pay machine

The machine is not working. It says that payment has been accepted but when checked bank the transaction had not gone through and I got a ticket. This has happened yesterday and again today 12/06/25

Pedestrian crossing required near school road

This is a very busy road next to the road leading to the primary school; shower, there is no pedestrian crossing for at least 1/2 mile into town. Many parents have to crosses at this section of road with small children for reception and nursery; can you please install some kind of pedestrian crossing?

Gossmore Walk - Cul de Sac

Dear team,
The road sweeper has been in our area today and has cleaned Gossmore Lane and all the surrounding rounds, but yet again Gossmore walk has been missed.
When speaking to the driver previously this is because it isnt on his route. Gossmore Walk isnt a private road as your system says it is. Please can this be permanently amended on your system and send the road sweeper back to clean the curbside as per all the other streets.
