A tree that has grown too large with branches dire

Tree are significantly overgrown near my fence, These have been blocking out sunlight over surrounding areas and are growing over our property so leaves and branches are falling into our garden. You can't even see the sky through the branches, the birds sits on the branches and pooping in the yard, We can't spend time in our yard because it's scary that the withered branches don't get on the children, or when its strong wind doesn't fall on our building. We would really appreciate some of the branches being cut please. Access may be easier from our garden. Happy to facilitate any visits to the area with access via our garden. Thank you
