Encroaching hedgerow. Ref.2836923 (previous job) I note your observation regarding 'extremely limited resources'. The matter could easily be resolved at no expense to the council; if the council approached the landowner & required them to cut back the encroaching hedge. Excessive mud on footpaths and grass encroaching on footpaths meaning pedestrians are forced to walk on road (especially pushchairs and scooters). Also, the drop curve is completely covered with mud and grass making it hard for scooters to safely cross the road

The hedge and trees on these bends used to be kept cut back to allow vision around the tight bends they only lightly trim them now and each year they protrude further onto the highway blocking visibility and pushing traffic further into the oncoming traffic accidents are regularly happening

Soil has been left across the width and length of this road making it dangerous for vehicles, totally unsafe for bikes and motorbikes and not fit for pedestrians, I today have slipped over and hurt my back, this has been like this since Christmas, why are you not enforcing the law these farmers don't own the road and need prosecuting, this would create a benchmark for others

A farm vehicle has driven off the road and onto the soft verge causing the bank of the dyke to collapse. It is quite obvious in daylight but in the dark and when the grass grows and hides the hole it will not be. A pedestrian steping off North Gate could potentially break a leg or ankle. The hole is approx 5m long x 200mm wide x 250mm deep. I suggest North Gate has a max weght trafffic order to prevent further damage to the road and verges.

HGVs and long articulated vehicles short cutting or turning have caused the verges to collapse. On 28th January an articulated vehicle turning from Northgate into Coldhurn lane toppled into dyke and had to be removed with heavy recovery vehicle. This is the third time vehicles of this type have toppled at this crossing. I suggest a max length and weight traffic order is placed on Gravecoat Lane, Coldhurn Lane, North Gate and Sandy Gate.

Bend on Coldhurn Lane PE11 4LH adjacent to Diamond House

Large HGVs and articulated vehicles using lane have created a camber in the road surface. Because of their length they also shortcut the corner and travel over the verge. Because of this camber on Monday 27 Jan 2025 a trailer carring sheep slid into the dyke damaging my fence and required heavy recovery vehicle to remove. Luckly no sheep were injured. Its only a matter of time before one of the HGVs also topples into the dyke. I suggest a vehicle max length and weight traffic order is placed on this lane.
