Where the water excess is removed
there is fly tipping
To get to this location, if you head to the park and go to the second rugby pitch, there is a gate where you can leave the park, if you turn right and fight through the plants and trees you get to the little water feature. It can be seen from the park too but there is a fence in the way.
As you can see there is rubbish, traffic comes and a Wendy house just dumped there. It's a shame because dogs love to use it to cool down and play in it.
It would be great if Stoneleigh Park could adopt that bit of the land and make it into a man made river feature. It's already made a mini waterfall already but if properly landscaped and the plants tidied up and made like a proper lake/river just think how much it would add to the parks value. Once it's done once and the park fences moved to reflect the park owns it, it would absolutely transform the park into something so beautiful and unique to the area. Plus it would avoid fly tipping in an area that could be really nice. The waterfall then can directed back down to wear it goes now down to the train track.
