Overgrown hedge restricting road access
20th June
The top of rumbles lane, meeting the A62, continues to be restricted massively do the overgrown hedge of the house there. Tree surgeons came and chopped the top off the hedge a few months ago, but only lightly trimmed the side, so it still sticks out around 1m into the road beyond the wall line and causes problems for higher vehicles getting through (some delivery wagons now are refusing to come down). Even cars again cant drive up without the lower branches scrapping along the side, which will get worse over summer, and now and again branches are getting dragged out by bin wagons etc, which end up hanging out further.
This road should be passable to the full original width on this narrow lane, without damaging residents vehicles and preventing deliveries to residents.
Please can the council confirm that something will be done to resolve this issue properly, and not just a partial unsustained fix?

Request for parking bays to ease conjestion
5th May
Dear Sirs
I an a resident a 3 Sunfield Estate and recently there has been some heated exchanges from residents over parking. As a concerned citizen this may lead to violent disorder. The reason parking is not great is because of growing families in the area and poor parking by residents as the rd is not defined with parking bays. I think now is the time if the council can spare some white paint to bay the parking and issue parking permits to residents to stop conjestion. Its got that bad Bee Bus is stuggling to get by some days the poor parking.
I think it would be prodent and sensible for the council in being proactive and putting this in place.
Additionally the service road behind the houses on 3 sunfield eatate that lies between the terraced houses and the bungalows is in a terrible state of repair and requires the whole thing resurfacing as I believe it hasnt been done for about 25 years.
Would the council be so kind to assess this situation and solve the problems the residents are facing?
Thanks
Luke Hilton

Illegal parking this morning causing serious risk when turning
2nd April
This happens nearly every day with different vehicles and this particular vehicle was here at 10:30am. It is extremely dangerous for any vehicle turning onto King St from St Ann's Square because it is impossible to see other cars coming when somebody is parked on the double yellow lines right on the corner.

again
The road here is damaged 99% of the time due to the road being constantly flooded from water run off adjacent to the road.
Suggest root cause is addressed instead of keep attempting to fill the same pothole time and again.

Double yellow line parking
20th September
Every day vehicles are parking along the double yellow lines at the junction of gartside street and King street. This causes chaos every single day at rush hour as vehicles wanting to turn right out of gartside street are forced to sit in the right hand lane, blocking those who want to turn in. This causes gridlock on the Main Street. This illegal parking needs better enforcement!

Road becoming impassable due to overgrown hedge
27th July
Rumbles Lane Delph is narrow, but heavily used by pedestrians and cars. Where Rumbles lane, reaches the A62 a large hedgerow is now taking over the whole side of the lane, making it impassable without scraping cars and damaging mirrors etc of anything larger/taller. The road has been reduce in width by around 0.5m and 1m at higher level. Further up, the whole lane is overgrown with trees and weeds, scraping down cars with weeds and bushes/branches for vans and wagons/tractors, that need to get down the lane as they always have. I have been forced to trim a lot of branches back towards the Hill End end of the lane, to try to stop vehicles getting damaged but the weeds still make it dangerous for cars to pass pedestrians. The A62 end will need major pruning works to cut the now very large/thick hedge back and reinstate the road.
