Abandoned vehicle
10th September
This vehicle does not belong to any of the residence and has been left here for over 6 weeks now, it is parked in a restricted parking area and is causing traffic issues during the day, as the area has a large volume of heavy goods turning from the work site opposite. There is a sign saying broken due to key issues, but this has been here far to long now and can only assume its abandoned, there are also local residents that park here and cannot at the moment.

Massive amounts of mud and dirt
4th March
The situation on Pennine Road is a disgrace, mud, dirt and dust are being left on the road and pavements by trucks passing (mostly travelling above the 20mph speed limit!) from/to the nearby quarry. This is causing a safety issue as the road is slippy and there are clumps of clay/mud scattered along the road. There is also the health issue of residents breathing in the dust from these deposits. The state of mine and other residents' vehicles is unbelievable, they are covered in debris from the trucks which is causing problems, not only to the paintwork but also to the mechanics of the vehicle as the engine, brakes etc. are being clogged up by the thick dust. It is pointless and expensive to have the vehicles cleaned as as soon as they are cleaned, they are filthy again within minutes. I want to know who will pay and or come to clean my car on a (very!!) regular basis?

The state of Pennine Road is a disgrace. It is covered in mud from the quarry lorries. Indeed this problem goes all the way over to Burnley from Bacup where the whole route is coated in mud.

Road lined with mud and clay
2nd March
The wheel wash at the quarry isnt working. This is causing pennine road and the surrounding area, also the town centre and Burnley road being caked in mud and clay. This is making it hazardous to drive on, and is making cars including my own filthy. The clay and mud is hindering brakes on vehicles.

Dirt/Mud/clay/stones being left from Pennine Road over Burnley road up to Burnley
2nd March
The quarry (Tong Lane Quarry) has an agreement with LCC. There are over 30 wagons per day using these roads and this is the mess residents have to put up. People as far as Burnley Road Bacup are also complaining. It appears that the wheel wash may not be working again. The road sweeper just spreads it further afield.

Continuous littering issue along with dog mess
13th February
For the past few weeks I have been working on this street and have purchased a property on there. I am disgusted with the extent of littering along this street and frequent dog mess. I think it stems from takeaway and food outlets. Surely business owners have an interest and should take some pride by clearing up or encouraging their clientele to not drop litter. It is an absolute disgrace.
