Pedestrian Crossing at Prince of Wales and Castlehaven roads
13th June
The pedestrian crossing beep form the Accessible Pedestrian Signal on the corners of Prince of Wales Road and Castlehaven Road has been set to a volume that is too loud and is a constant noise disturbance. This is undermining the living standards of residents living on this road, including those who work from home and those with young children. Since installation some two months ago, it sounds continuously during the day, including from early in the morning until late at night, and should be reviewed urgently. Other crossings in the road are silent and if necessary provide a tactile rotating signal for accessibility. Please can this noise be reduced materially reduced or better yet turned off completely. If the purpose is to aid those with visual impairment, let's recognise that they are not deaf! It is impacting the mental health of the residents in what is NOT a built up area. Assistance as soon as possible would be very much appreciated.

Paving repairs are taking place lower down South Hill Park between 5 and 12 June, but I have not yet received any response to my reported problem [FixMyStreet ref: 7614060] which requests dealing with the paving settlement that has led to rainwater leaking into my property, as previously explained, and pedestrian accident. Please take the opportunity to prevent further damage to property by repairing the paving while you have a crew in the same road.
