Road Bridge Repair.
18th March
As originally reported by Cllr. Terry Gill at 16:34, Thu 1 August 2024, I was wondering why there has been no work started at this location to resolve the issue of the damaged bridge? I did notice a few months ago, road repair markings? were added to the surface of the bridge area but these have now all but worn off again due to weather and time. It has also been noted that in the past, these lights have had issues (dead batteries?) which have caused them to stop working or glitch. I have personally witnessed many drivers going through them on red even when working properly. I believe this bridge was hit more than a year ago now (could you confirm the exact date in your reply) and there has seemingly been no progress as far as I can see. Also, I was wondering if I can find how much it is costing taxpayers to rent the signs, cones and traffic lights for this period?

Trees overhanging shared cycle path
11th February
A previous report of this incident was closed saying there was no problem. I am sorry but your maintenance team have not looked properly and the problem still exists with branches overhanging the cycle way at eye level. in addition the path width is reduced by detritus on the surface of the path. The North side of the road has been cut back very well but the south side is still very narrow.
Below is a copy of the previous report.

Trees and vegetation are overhanging the cycle path between the overhead footbridge and the Melton/Ferriby junction on the south side of the main A63 carriageway. These are at eye level and could cause serous injury to a cyclist. Please also see me previous post about on a fallen tree on the north side of the carriage way. These are 2 separate problems.

A tree has fallen and is obstructing the cycle path
5th February
A tree has fallen and is partially blocking the cycle path on the north side of the road near South Hunsley School. This is very dangerous and needs dealing with urgently because there is no street lighting on this section of cycle path and it is eye level. If a cyclist were to hit it in the dark, it could cause a nasty facial injury or damage their eyes. It is located approximately halfway along the section of path where the path to the school runs the other side of the hedge.

Vegetation and detritus blocking half of shared use cycle track
23rd August
The vegetation that is growing from the left hand side of the shared use footway is blocking half the area to be used and causing a significant safety issue for users. detritus has been allowed to develop on the surface again reducing the width down to half of what should be available. A previous report submitted by another individual was closed as showing no defects but this is clearly incorrect and needs to be rectified. I have images of this issue of low hanging branches that fall below the permitted 2.4m from surface height and strike users as they pass through. Action needs to be taken now. I have images available to show what the issues are.

Vegetation over growing
9th July
The cycle path on the west bound side of the A63 between Ferriby underpass and Brough turn off is almost covering the whole path. It has been an issue for myself and I've no doubt many other cyclists for the last month or two. There is potential for eye injuries from low hanging branches.

Numerous deep and long potholes. Slip road joining A63 westbound from B1231 North Ferriby.
12th April
Numerous potholes on slip road to A63 westbound, especially bad where the slip road joins the main A63. These potholes have been present for at least a year and are getting worse. You have to adjust your driving position to avoid them which makes timing your entry onto the A63 at this point more difficult and potentially dangerous.
