On a weekend
vehicles are parking from the roundabout on London Road
Cars are parking inconsideratly along Fishery Road, and blocking free travel. It will affect the emergency services too. Dreadful piece of road at weekends.

Enforcing double yellow line parking
22nd May
You introduced yellow lines on the cherry Orchard road from Howard's drive. Even painting them around a parked car.these lines are being ignored due to no enforcement especially late evening and early morning. The purpose of the lines is provide visibility. Not working cars are parking on the yellow lines so putting them down total waste of money

Hello, I noticed today a sofa that had been dumped on Pix farm Lane between Sharpes Lane and Westbrook Moorings estate in a passing place. This must be making vehicles passing challenging

Large van parked dangerously on a corner obstructing road views
24th April
Large white removal van has been parked on the pavement obstructing view at a junction/road entry for over four months. The crocheting taxed and has a current MOT. However the van is blocking the view and is dangerously parked. This has lead to many near accidents as driver cannot see on coming road traffic.

Broken kerb
29th March
This kerb is loose and is lifting up. When you stand on it becomes rocky and causes unsteadiness. It is a risk of someone tripping and hurting themselves. It is outside the electric shutter on long Chaulden just before the turning onto Jocketts Road. It has been like this for about a month

Truck on closed lane
27th March
Extremely dangerous situation where there is a truck with a closed lane sign on it on the left lane of the A41 shortly after the slip road from winkwell.
There are no cones or signage before the truck creating a huge risk of accident.
My partner was along this road around 7:15pm on 27 Mar 2025, another driver in the right lane wouldnt allow him to change lanes. He had to emergency brake to avoid crashing into the truck, thankfully there were no drivers behind him. This could have ended fatally, we anre extremely frustrated with this situation.
Proper cones and signage needs to be before trucks for closed lanes!!!

Various potholes
craters
Predominantly northbound between Bourne End and the Icknield turn off after Tring, although there are a few large craters on the southbound stretch. The road isn't safe for the speeds that cars travel at. I am at 60ish mph and I am constantly swerving to avoid various potholes and craters, the car constantly banging and crashing its suspension over the terrible surface. The hill up towards Berkhamstead is diabolical, with massive stretches of crumbling top layer flicking up stones and unsettling the car. It is pointless me or other drivers reporting a pothole here or there. What it needs, to make it safe for sustained high speed, is a complete survey between the aforementioned towns, and a programme of proper repairs established. As it stands, 50mph is the safe speed.
