The road floods and drains in to the Driveway of West Tennis Court Cottage and has caused the driveway to deteriorate. The flooding of the road can be severe and dangerous.
14th September
I think that there is a drain in the road that has become blocked. Due to the cambrt of the road, it floods and then drains in to the driveway for West Tennis Court Cottage, Flat and garages, which floods. You will notice that it is washing the entrance away. The problem has been getting worse progressively.

Blocked man hole
10th March
The large man hole in the centre of the road appears to be blocked as water is pouring out of the sides of the cover. It's been like this for weeks with water pouring down Jones Hill. The man hole is situated on the cross road of Jones Hill, Moor Lane and Stentaway Lane

Bus stop and verge above Saunton Sands Car park entrance
22nd March
For the past few years the bus stop at Saunton that has very heavy use in the summer has been completely overgrown with NO pavement showing. This makes pedestrians stand in the road, Also the hedge from from the bus stop to St annas church is grown out to over the yellow line in places. This hedge growth is now evident with the present road works as the hedge adjacent to the works is now cut right back giving a full width of road in this very busy area. Can we please have a good cut back before Easter. With thanks Ben Byrom

Fortnightly rubbish collection
31st August
The fortnightly rubbish collection is leading to fly infestations in rubbish that has been left out for too long. While we were staying at our brother-in-law's house on Sandy Way last week we had to keep all the windows closed in order to keep the flies out. The bag that had been left by previous visitors was crawling with maggots and the bins were covered in flies. I am sure our bins were not the only ones with this problem: it's a serious health hazard. Croyde, and the surrounding area, is a holiday destination where the population must quadruple (at least) during the summer--and holiday--periods. At these times it would be sensible to institute a weekly rubbish collection. We have never noticed this sort of problem during previous visits and are wondering how recently the fortnightly rubbish collections were introduced.

Deep flooding
26th December
Long length of road (approximately 50m) is under water approx. 18 inches deep. Not sure if this is a blocked gully or if it just needs a drain/gully?

Surface water disposal
17th May
Sandy Way and Leadengate Close, in Croyde, are private roads. Surface water from parts of these two roads is being piped under the house and garden of No 14 Sandy Way. This water then flows out of holes in the wall at the end of the garden of No 14 into Sandy lane, also a private road. That the water takes this route has been shown by putting water, with a dye, into drains in Sandy Way and Leadengate Close, and showing that it flows onto Sandy Lane. There are copious amounts of water which floods Sandy Lane from side to side and then flows into the car parks of Nos 1 - 5 Sandy Lane. There is no doubt that the surface water should never have been directed onto Sandy Lane. But what can we do about it? Who can be held responsible? Could the surface water be directed into a main sewer? I would be extremely grateful for any advice on how to solve this problem.
