Deep pothole in pavement where cars drive into car park
29th July
The pothole is in the pavement alongside the service road outside the Mid Day Sun PH. It is in the pavement where cars drive into the PH car park. This location is definitely Surrey Highway.

Blind turning at junction.
29th July
The junction at Pine Walk turning onto Rectory lane. This is a huge hazard as the turning onto Rectory lane from the junction turning both left and right) is obstructed by parked cars. As you can see in the attachment, legally cars are allowed to park on the street but this causes visual impairment for turning cars but also oncoming cars cannot see the junction.
I would recommend a reflective mirror placed opposite the junction so drivers can see oncoming cars and know if its safe to pull out.

27th July
The section of the west side of How Lane at the edge of the road has been washed away for around 25 metres just south of Woodlandss Farm entrance, north of Oak Lodge. This is a danger to car tyres and suspension. Need to use full width of road to pass oncoming traffic.

Cars going 70mph+
26th July
Cars and motorbikes going down Outwood lane way over the limit This happens during the day too but the evening i compare to other cars who go by and it must be 2 or 3 times the speed of those other cards Lots of theft etc of vehicles has taken place on this road and I believe for the communities safety we should have speed bumps to prevent this scary use of vehicle, sounds like race cars going by

Dangerous intersection Hollymeoak/Hollymead
23rd July
I wanted to highlight the importance of finding an appropriate measure to limit the number of accidents happening on the intersection of Hollymeoak/Hollymead roads. There have been 3 accidents in the last 7 days, this is becoming ridiculous.
I agree with Councillor Bennett, the cars are driving too fast but they will continue to drive fast therefore we need to have measures that have a proper impact. When you drive up Hollymeoak road, you have a good visbility to Portnalls Road on its right as it is a long stretch but the visibility to the left on Coulsdon lane is less good (stop sign hidden) as it is on a bend and there is a lot of vegetation. If cars speed, you could potentially crash into someone due to their speed, not your own driving. I feel high speed bumps would be the best way to make cars slow down but I understand there needs to be street lighting. Can this be arranged? Signs that say "many accidents happen on this junction" ? Roundabout? Traffic lights?

Pedestrian crossing
22nd July
At the roundabout , bottom of Cane Hill from Brighton road. The red mark to priories pedestrians has long disappeared and was not very effective. There should be a zebra crossing and drivers should slow down. It can because at time with commuters to Coulsdon South station and during the school run. So far cars dont stop when I set my food down to indicate I cross the road first and they speed up to get up the hill. Most drivers dont indicated when they turn.. and on top shout abuse if one does not cross the road quickly enough. There seem to be no rules and a lot it of inconsiderable drivers on this route to the way of the Cane Hill estate. The crossing is very poor regarding visibility of approaching cars. Again pedestrians should feel save and respected.

20mph zone around Woodmansterne Primary school and surrounding area.
22nd July
I write to formally request that SCC consider reducing the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on/around Woodmansterne Street/Court Haw Road, through the main part of Woodmansterne Village, and in the vicinity of Woodmansterne Primary School. These roads are narrow, residential, and characteristic of a quiet village setting. However, during rush hourparticularly at school drop-off and pick-up timesthey become exceedingly dangerous due to increased traffic volumes, speeding vehicles, and limited visibility. This situation poses a significant risk to the safety of local residents, especially children walking to and from school. Across the country, councils have already taken the proactive step of reducing speed limits in similar residential and school-adjacent areas to 20mph. These decisions are being made not in reaction to tragic incidents, but as a preventive measure rooted in common sense and public safety. SCC should not wait for accidents/near misses, or worse before taking action.

Knocked over bin in Prestbury Crescent
22nd July
The bin has been in this for around 5 days. From the angle has been physically pushed. If grit was to be used it would be impossible as the bin has fallen forward thus jamming the lid. The bin id number is 12074 and is located on the grass verge outside property no 12. Could be a possible hazard if cars are tight to the corner when coming down the hill. Many thanks

This junction is now becoming very dangerous with accidents happening daily. There is a stop sign at the junction between Hollymeoak Road and Portnalls Road however it is extremely difficult to see oncoming traffic due to the overgrown hedges and the bend in the road. This week alone there have been 2 accidents at this junction.
18th July
The hedges on Portnalls Road and Coulsdon Lane need trimming.
