Junction of henshall hall drive and biddulph road
25th April
Several potholes on henshall hall drive leading up to the junction with biddulph road as well as at the actual junction. These potholes have been present for several weeks but are rapidly getting bigger and deeper.

Opposite shops leading up to road for pub
25th April
The yellow lines here have faded so much vans and cars park on there every day. It's near a junction with a busy road and makes it difficult for vehicles to access the junction and is unsafe at times for pedestrians. I reported this last year and had an email from.cheshure east at the end of April 2024 to say it would be "actioned" asap. It is almost 12 months since this email was sent. How long is asap?

Spped limit on Moss Lane
24th April
Moss Lane is a no through road which is used by many walkers yet the speed limit sign at the entrance to the road is for the national speed limit . As many sat navs are not updated for the new estates there are many occasions of delivery drivers using this road at speed, which is a real safety issue for pedestrians. This needs to be reduced to a 20mph and with additional signage that a no through road to ensure the safety of local residents.

Incomplete work at Congleton Ayrshire Way
23rd April
The plans for the pedestrian crossing included bollards across the dntrance to the railway station. The entrance to the railway station has been made less obvious, particularly to the visually impaired and do the bollards are sensible. It also stopped cars pulling out of both the station and Ayrshire Wsy simultaneously. Sensible and safe. However why has this been allowed to be opened before the bollards are not yet put in place? An accident could happen any day so it needs to be fenced off until the job is made safe according to the plans.

Sandy Lane junction with Newcastle Road
22nd April
Numerous instances where vehicles are parking in the service strip, obscuring view of oncoming traffic on Newcastle Road when pulling out of Sandy Lane.
This has been made considerably worse with ongoing housing works recently being undertaken nearby. We are experiencing a long period of missed bin collections due to parking near the junction and obstructing access / egress from Westbourne House, surrounding areas including residents of Sandy Lane etc. This is due to dangerous parking consistently happening close to the junction (within 10m).
Parking also increases in the summer months with visits to Astbury mere, or when events are in the area.

The entrance to Woodland Avenue in Congleton
22nd April
I think there's been a bit of a mistake with my previous report - 7290855. The new stop line had disintegrated, so I reported it. The council then put up a 'no road markings sign', which is sensible enough, but then I received an email saying 7290855 was fixed, when it clearly isn't, as the stop line is still missing.

Between Fairmill Grove and Homestead Drive and Lomas Way
22nd April
The trees and hedgerow that border the footpath are overgrown. I reported this last summer but nothing has been done. As you can see from the photos, this is years of nothing being cut back, the leaves and debris encroach onto the footpath and the branches are making the footpath too narrow. This is also causing a visibility issue for pedestrians and drivers. Pedestrians using the uncontrolled crossing on A34 next to Homestead Drive have difficulty seeing (the visibility is about 40 metres whereas for a 40mph road, it should be 80 metres at least). These trees and hedges do not help. I've lived here 2.5 years and this footpath has never been cleared or the trees cut back. I've already submitted a freedom of information request as to why this stretch of road is not 30mph because this crossing is not compliant due to poor visibility. Please at the very least, can the council come and cut back the trees and clear the debris from the footpath to improve the visibility.

Entrance to Congleton railway station
18th April
The recently tarmaced surface at the entrance to Congleton railway station is very dangerous especially for those who are visually impaired. Whilst there are markings and road surfacing changes to indicate a crossing across Ayrshire Way, there is nothing to indicate that this is a junction with cars entering and exiting across this path.
