Flytipping by recent residents moved into Newdigate Road
1st July
We caught these residents flytipping on Newdigate Road 2 mattresses they put by the bins, the residents are from number 3 Newdigate Road, we warned them they will be in trouble and be reported, they was sly and crafty and moved them around the corner onto Waterman Road at the back there by the bushes, in the photo you can see they are dumping there pink coloured pram and bike, why is nothing ever being done on Newdigate Road, the council have done nothing it has got worse! Newdigate Road is terrible flytipping and youths at night causing trouble and the litter from the rat infested takeaway on the corner pizza, hat and grill is terrible, I have constantly been reporting these issues for years, and really I don't see any changes

Sink hole (not a pot hole)
29th June
Sink hole in middle of road visited by police and highways. I question the structural strength and safety of the road as well as the illegal signage. The person has instructed traffic from one direction directly into the lane of oncoming traffic. This urgently requires proper signing, lighting & guarding as per NRSWA regulations. I did call the police about it but nobody has made this safe or legal.

Abandoned Vehicle – MINI Cooper (SV09 MXE)
29th June
A green MINI Cooper (registration SV09 MXE) has been left parked in the same spot for several months without any signs of use. The tyres are flat, the vehicle is covered in dirt, and there is growing rubbish around and underneath it.
It appears to be abandoned and is contributing to local litter and obstruction. Can the council please investigate and take appropriate action to remove it if unclaimed?

Long-Term Temporary Trench Cover – Ongoing Safety & Accessibility Issue
29th June
Near the bus stop. This yellow Oxford Low-Pro trench cover has been left on the pavement for an extended period with no visible signage, cones, or explanation. Its now become a semi-permanent obstruction and poses a trip hazard especially for elderly residents, children, and visually impaired pedestrians.
Given how long its been in place, can the council or utility company responsible urgently investigate, remove it if the work is complete, or clearly mark and secure it if its still needed?

Drinking on road and leaving smashed bottles on road
26th June
I want to report these people living at 115 Beresford Avenue , who stand outside near their car and drink beer and often smash bottles or leave them outside on the street. Please see photos. Serious Fly-tipping Between Properties – [88 & 90 Eld Road]
25th June
The alleyway between these two properties has become heavily fly-tipped, with mattresses, black bin bags, old clothes, and other waste dumped and left to pile up. Weeds are also overgrown, making the area look neglected and unsafe.
This not only attracts vermin but poses fire and health hazards. Can the council please arrange a clean-up and consider preventive measures to stop ongoing dumping here?

Ongoing Litter and Public Drinking Spot Station Street East
21st June
Between the back of Boyle betting shop and the jeweller in Station Street East - This corner area has become a regular hotspot for littering and public drinking. As seen in the photo, the wall is lined with empty alcohol bottles and takeaway rubbish, with more litter scattered across the pavement. Its unhygienic, unpleasant for passers-by, and gives a poor impression of the area.
Could the council arrange a clean-up and consider measures to discourage repeat behaviour here? Thanks.
