Underground culvert blocked
5th February
The culvert that runs underground alongside the road appears to be blocked in the area of a new driveway installation at The Old Manor House, the water has burst out of the verge here and is running down the road to the next metal lidded culvert opening. Significant damage is being caused to the roadway, flooding across the road during heavy rain and icy conditions when cold.

BT Cover damaged and lid not on securely
12th November
During the B4632 closure traffic diverted via Wimpstone Lane and HGVs ran over this cover and causing damage to the carriageway. This cover should be in the verge.
I have tried reporting it to BT and openreach but they will not answer their telephones. Fix my street is good because you can show where it is on the map.

Still Excessive Mud on the Road
30th October
Hi,
I wrote before regarding the excessive mud on this stretch of road up to the A3400. It has now been just over a week and unfortunately I have not seen any improvement in the road conditions since I made you aware of it. I want to reiterate that this road is not safe for motorcyclists because of the mud which has not been cleaned off it. The excessive mud is a major hazard for motorcyclists such as myself and it is only a matter of time before somebody is injured (possibly badly) because of it. In my opinion, a sign saying Mud on Road is not enough I know there is mud on the road and I ride accordingly but it is still unsafe and the mud needs cleaning off the road so that it is safe for vulnerable road users such as motorcyclists. Thank you!

The lane from Preston to Admington is being destroyed
27th October
The whole length of the lane from Preston on Stour to Admington is being destroyed by an unprecedented amount of traffic, including 'unsuitable' HGVs, all choosing to use the lane as a shortcut from the diversion caused by the roadworks on the Mickleton road Works ref: PC020CLIFFORDLANE Project ref: PC020SHIPSTONRD_RBTS I see there is a report about Wimpstone lane traffic - I've been there today and while it is bad, it is nothing like as bad as the Preston - Admington lane, which is narrower. Just one lorry fills the width of the lane. The photos posted here do not do justice to the damage. Along much of the lane, the grass verge has completely gone, at least a yard either side of the tarmac. With the edge of the tarmac now invisible, the road will be breaking up with lorries driving on the edge of the tarmac. I had the glass on one of my foglights broken over the weekend. On the Shipston road, there are two UNSUITABLE FOR HGVs but today, I followed a large articulated lorry which ignored the signs. I will send you dash cam footage of the lorry and the damage it caused when it met another lorry and both had to drive as far over as possible onto the grass verge to pass. I have seen three huge 4 axle skip/dumpers driving down our lane. All those were when I was on my bike so I don't have footage. There is no UNSUITABLE FOR HGVs sign at the Admington end of the lane. Please let me know how to send you the dash cam footage which shows the signs are being ignored wholesale and shows the true state of the road now. And we have another month of this. You MUST do something about it.

Up to 50 HGVs per hour attempting to pass through a narrow lane in Wimpstone village despite an "Unsuitable for HGVs" sign being in place.
23rd October
Due to road closure at Clifford Chambers (16/10/20 for 5weeks) excessive HGV traffic is now using Wimpstone Lane. Verges are being destroyed, narrow bridge is at risk of being damaged and chance of vehicle collision now raised to dangerous levels.

De to the closure of the Clifford Chambers/Mickleton road from the Waitrose roundabout there is a diversion onto the shipston road. Traffic is not being diverted to Wimpstone but a huge proportion of traffic is driving through the village as a ‘rat run’. This includes huge car transporters daily to and from and numerous large lorries. There is no speed restriction through the village so traffic is racing through. The bridge is not going to withstand such constant traffic and an accident is waiting to happen with the increased load and speeds. Even if heavy goods vehicles were deterred from using this route it would be an improvement. We are in this situation for 5 weeks so would ask something g to be done asap before a dusaster
