Road safety for cyclists

Siskin Drive Coventry is an access road to Middlemarch industrial estate heavily used by cyclists, cars, LGVs, HGVs. The road used to be marked as two lanes but since re-surfacing has no central white line. The width of the road means overtaking an HGV is tight. There have been accidents involving cyclists and traffic. Cyclists are not well protected because of exposure to heavy, fast moving traffic at rush hour. I believe that including a segregated cycle lane as part of this road would significantly increase safety and cycling uptake as a mode of transport to this estate.

Cones - causing significant delays

It took 30 minutes to battle through traffic on Siskin Drive only to find the cause of the problem being these cones and no sign of roadworks! I was late picking my son up from after school club and fined 25. Please remove the cones!

Traffic lights are out of sequence

The traffic lights at the top of siskin drive are out of sequence. They are only letting a couple of cars through and appear out of sequence with the lights to get out onto toll bar. This is causing delays for traffic getting off siskin drive and due to the current closure of one lane getting off siskin drive this has made the issue much work. It has taken over an hour to get off Siskin drive on Tuesday.
