Location: southbound lane
of A45/46 cycleway between
The encroaching vegetation (brambles, nettles, gorse and tree branches) are inhibiting the throughway on the southbound cycle/pathway of the A45/46 from the river Sowe crossing until the crossing of the A444 on the Stivichall interchange. Your operatives were at the interchange last week but seem not to have seen these obstructions? Suggest somebody cycle or walk from the interchange northbound on this cycle/pathway and see what a joy it is not?

Road safety for cyclists
23rd May
Siskin Drive Coventry is an access road to Middlemarch industrial estate heavily used by cyclists, cars, LGVs, HGVs. The road used to be marked as two lanes but since re-surfacing has no central white line. The width of the road means overtaking an HGV is tight. There have been accidents involving cyclists and traffic. Cyclists are not well protected because of exposure to heavy, fast moving traffic at rush hour. I believe that including a segregated cycle lane as part of this road would significantly increase safety and cycling uptake as a mode of transport to this estate.

I reported this on 20/02/2025. Issue is closed?
1st April
I reported this on 20 February this year, I see the issue is closed? Why? Is it acceptable that self seeded young trees are growing in cracks on the footpath bridge that crosses the A444? If this continues the footpath/bridge will become blocked, surely as they mature they will affect the integrity of the bridge and as they become trees they become an ECO problem? The short stretch of footpath is the only footpath where the intrusive vegetation was not cut back approx 1.50metres from the footpath? Invasive vegetation encroaching on footpath and self seeded trees growing on footbridge
The footpath between the subway under the Stivichall Interchange to the footbridge over the A444 has encroaching vegetation (nettles and brambles and the like) restricting the width of the footpath. Also on the same footbridge, self-seeded tree saplings (about 10) have taken root on the footbridge and are about a metre tall. Surely this is not not for the actual bridge superstructure in the long term?
