Abandoned trailer, 20th March

Wed, 20 Mar 2024 09:43:26 +0000
53.778714 -1.072711

This trailer is left on the road most days. It has an unreadable numberplate, broken rear light clusters and exposed wiring. Sometimes it is not there. Does that mean it is in use on the road?

Fire hydrant sign missing due to home demolishing wall, 17th March

Sun, 17 Mar 2024 15:20:58 +0000
53.774234 -1.070834

There was a fire hydrant sign here, on the wall. The home owner has demolished the wall and now the sign is not visible. If someone's house is on fire now it will be harder for the fire service to find where the hydrant is.

Raw sewage, 18th February

Sun, 18 Feb 2024 17:03:43 +0000
53.766923 -1.062977

There has been raw sewage flowing from Lidl in Selby through the manhole cover near the entrance door & trolley bay. This has been on going & has happened twice in the past week. I believe it is a health hazard having sewage trodden into the store, the carpark & into cars & homes. The trollies will have been contaminated also, being in close proximity. I am not sure if this is under the council's remit but certainly needs addressing as soon as possible. Many thanks.

Cars parking dangerously on blind corners, 5th July

Wed, 05 Jul 2023 16:21:32 +0100
53.778541 -1.073711

All along westbourne road, people have started parking vehicles on sharp corners. This makes it difficult to check visibility before pulling around it. It's against the highway code and I think we need double yellow markings adding around this road to prevent selfish drivers making the road dangerous.

Wed, 05 Jul 2023 16:17:30 +0100

Recently this road had a load of its potholes "fixed" It already was a heavily patched up road. It's now worse than ever, driving along it is worse than driving on a farm road. It's damaging to car suspension, and the roads covered in loose gravel. Could this road please be properly resurfaced instead of bodged? Thanks

Invisible zebra crossing, 23rd June

Fri, 23 Jun 2023 19:32:02 +0100
53.776461 -1.0788

There are two related issues in this location - the zebra crossing on the road into the hospital car park is very faded so cars don’t stop at it even when people are waiting to cross, and there are also no signs to alert drivers to the crossing. It’s more of an issue than it would be elsewhere because the crossing is close to a roundabout and there are no signs to alert drivers of the crossing, so people turn in off the roundabout and a crossing is there within 1.5 car lengths with no signs and no clear road markings. This is also a bus route so preparing to cross on a zebra crossing with a pram when a bus suddenly appears round the corner is quite scary. It feels unsafe when crossing, especially with a child or a pram.
