Broken roadway surface, 8th March
On the outbound side of Barlow Common Road from Barlow village, in the area indicated, the edge of the roadway is fractured into 100 sq cm pieces for a length of about 12-15 m, extending about 20-35 cm into the roadway. The roadway was damaged by freezing temperatures and this damage has been exacerbated by Arriva's use of double-decker buses and goods vehicles, their weight breaking the damaged surface into smaller pieces.
