Pot hole, 8th April
There’s a pot hole in lane 1 heading north, possible blowout risk I’ve hit this 3 times in the last few days and really shakes my HGV

There are road signs flashing and saying obstruction and limiting speed to 60, I have just travelled through the zone and there is no obstruction any more

Cockatoo in Tree. Been there at least 2 days., 12th February
Large white bird( looks like cockatoo) sat in tree. Welfare concern.Unable to find any reports of one missing but reported to a few sites. The bird is approx 100 yards from junction, in a copse just after the small brick building.

Large peice of debris on road looks like come off a lorry 2nd lane taking up most of lane and quite high.

Missing chevron directional signs on roundabout, 12th September
One set of chevron signs was removed at the end of 2022 following an accident. The sign has never been replaced and needs to be done to ensure safety.

Missing chevron directional signs on roundabout, 11th July
I reported this problem to North Yorkshire Highways on 06/01/2023 but I didn't know that the A168 falls under your remit. The chevron directional signs were removed following an accident and haven't been replaced.

There is a groove as you go round the roundabout which is unsettling in a car but dangerous on a bike

Incorrect spelling of Teesside on the roadsign, 24th August
On the roundabout, when you take the exit for the A168, the road sign spells Teesside as 'Teeside' which is the incorrect spelling. I have a picture but nowhere to attach it as evidence

Abandoned veh, 9th August
Vehicle has been reported to North Yorkshire Police ref NYP-03082016-0232 abandoned on the A168 at Dishforth / Sharrow Lane. The vehicle is a Citroen Dispatch van reg X587CNN in white. The registered keeper has informed Police that he is no longer the keeper and it has been sold.

Cars parking on the pavement ... is this legal?, 1st December
Cars parking on the pavement where the road narrows opposite Grange Close, Back Lane, Dishforth. Sometimes large delivery vehicles have been unable to get through, and also there would be a problem should a fire engine have to access a property in that stretch of road. Whilst this is not a day long problem, it can mean someone in a wheelchair or pushing a pram will have to go onto the road to get past. This issue is a long term one, and is at its worst at the start and end of the school day as the local primary school is in Grange Close.

Broken / Loose / Noisy manhole cover, 11th March
The manhole / drain cover has become loose, everybody drives over it which can only be making it worse, it is also very noisy.

Fly tipping and loose rubbish, 17th February
Bags of rubbish and loose litter have been dumped at the entrance to Dishforth village. It has been left beside a very clear sign saying ' please take your rubbish home' which obviously someone can't read. It is a blight on the neat and tidy village and has been building up for several weeks now.

Litter on roadside verge, 14th February
There is a lot of litter and bags of rubbish which appear to have been dumped on the verge and in the hedge in this area. Trucks are often seen parking here, churning up the grass verge.
