FIXMYSTREET IN YO61 1HJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of YO61 1HJ:
Potholes due to flooding/Hydraulic action of continually flooded road, 11th April
Potholes at the side of the road and now appearing in the road as the road has been flooded for several months as the drainage ditches both sides are full/blocked. This flooded water is been driven through all the time and leading to potholes at the side of the road by Hydraulic action.
This bit of road is busy with cars, tractors/trailers & a bus every hour in each direction. The large vehicles over this flooded section of road and the resulting hydraulic action do not help the general situation.
A simple bit of maintenance on the drainage in this area will stop the accelerated damage to the road surface by the flooded road section hydraulic action.
Treat the root cause please not the symptoms.

Fly Tipping - Cinder Blocks dumped on road verge.
There has been previous incidents of fly tipping in this exact location before that I have reported. Additionally 300 metres to the west there has been two separately reported incidents (windows and carpet underlay). I suspect the same person. Can you please also get some liaison going with the police and get some discrete cameras or similar put up to finally catch this obviously the same person fly tipping at these locations.

Various strands of Himalayan Balsam at this location on the road verge and also now into the watercourse. Extends from this location westwards on the north side of the road with intermittent strands for approx 30 metres along road verge and also onto southern side of the road after approx 30 metres further west for approx 25 metres and into watercourse. Please note this has been reported every year for approx 5 years to yourselves. No apparent control measures applied means that it has spread further than first reported and again further every year! No control measures applied/ignoring the issue does not effectively manage the spread of this invasive plant that requires management legally under Wildlife and countryside act 1981!

Under road water leak, 20th June
The appears to be a leak eminating from under the road, raising to the surface, running down the slope on the road and then into a convenient manhole. It is obvious that there appears to be some sort of water leak here. This needs to be repaired before significant vioding occurs and makes the repair much bigger than it needs to at tge present.
