Joining road to industrial estate from Becklands Close is sinking around the drain area, 11th March
The joining road onto the becklands close to industrial area dropped, sunk in places and damaged. The area around where the rain water drain is located has cracked, is sinking and moving very easily whilst stepping near it and the ground around the drain has broken into several pieces. This is probably due to the amount of lorries backing up and accessing this area. This causes vehicles to drop down between the joining road and Becklands close. The issue has been present around 6 months but in the last few weeks has become worse. This was also reported as a H&S risk with near by businesses, however as these businesses do not have control of this area of the road, so they can not take any further action.

Street light on the corner of Market Hill and the Milby road, 21st February
The street light on the corner of Market Hill and the Milby road in Langthorpe/Boroughbridge is not working. This is potentially very dangerous as the road is quite busy and there is often significant traffic entering and leaving the Coronation Hall car park. For pedestrians, there is difficulty in negotiating the very narrow and very uneven and badly maintained pavement. The malfunctioning street light was first reported to FixMyStreet in 2022 but has never been resolved..

Street light out on corner of Market Hill near the Grantham Arms., 27th October
Street lights are also still out slightly further up the road (Milby Road?) and at the end of the bridge on Bridge Street (where the 20mph speed limit begins, as already reported.

Serious large amount of mud spread over road, 24th October
About 0030 hrs this morning, whilst travelling home from work. I came across 3 areas of field mud upon the road. There were no warning signage and upon driving into this area, my vehicle list a certain amount of traction. I was able to retain control without braking. As I feared that braking would have made my vehicle more likely to slide across the road. In view of the current weather conditions this area needs to be cleaned up quickly and signage is required urgently.

Environmental Health, 28th September

The 30 MPH sign is missing coming form Aldborough it is 60MPH but the sign to change to 30MPH is now missing and hasn't been up for about 8 months
