Flytipped waste has been there a few days now - open countryside in Nat. Park, SSSI, archeology etc., important site, plus this is poss. health hazard, many walkers and cyclists. Small number of dodgy folk do seem increasingly attracted to this beautiful dead-end road, and they must come quite a way to get here (the fence at the end was broken down a few weeks back, increased litter, guys driving up and down the road at dusk while 'walking' many lurchers held on leads out of their car windows). I've been visiting for over 40 years, and go there more than once every week. Percy Cross Rigg needs some TLC. Or even closing to non-farm traffic - which would be sad for me but maybe good for the landscape.
