Overgrown Footway, 9th April
The pedestrian walkway adjacent to the A64 at this stretch which connects to a public footpath is overgrown and the boundary fencing is deteriorating. We understand this route is within the extent of the A64 and was put in by national highways at the time to retain pedestrian access. The condition of the route is resulting in tresspass, damage and flytipping to adjacent land.

Double yellow parking, 14th January
Cars constantly park on double yellows down Vine Street. I think it would be beneficial for home owners with driveways to have these repainted.
They are very worn and not so visible and I believe people are taking advantage of this. On more than one occasion, I have struggled to access my own driveway on vine street due to illegal parking on the already busy road.

Fencing close to collapse, 12th January
Since the recent storms, the fencing has been on the verge of collapse, the side closest to lakeside way isn’t such an issue, as there’s simply grass next to it.
The opposite side that backs onto the alleyway is where the issue lies and massive potential hazard. If that 6 foot fence were to fall onto someone walking, it would have the potential to cause serious damage/death.
It needs shoring up at the very least, the fence posts appear to be rotten so need replacing.

Road works on main Norton to Malton road, 15th October
There are works on the junction between Norton petrol station and the level crossing. There is a diversion in place around about 60 foot of works. This diversion is 8 miles to cover 60 foot!!! This is arrant stupidity. How much longer must we slavishly stick to the ‘major roads only’ rule? You could be past the point in quarter of a mile. More importantly the works could be easily controlled by temporary traffic lights when work is underway, when not, as when I passed, there is space for two narrower lanes.

Blocked footpath, 9th October
Tls have parked their wagon on the footpath making pedestrians walk on the road. We asked them to move their sign to make the footpath accessible, but just got a lot of abuse.
