FIXMYSTREET IN YO15 3PA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of YO15 3PA:
Deep pothole in middle of road, 15th January
This section of rd hasn’t been properly maintained for years. It appears eryc response is to refuse third party reports, knowing their own procedures make it near impossible to report things. When previous holes have been reported, they come along, dump some tarmac into hole, stamp it down and drive off, completely ignoring many other holes

Parking blocking view of oncoming traffic, 13th September
We've had an issue of a van parking badly for months, we've politely asked the driver but just got abuse, we've contacted the parking enforcement team at the council who said there are no parking restrictions in the area and advised to go to the police, so we then contacted the police who have said to go to the council?!?!? What a broken system!.... This is very dangerous, he sometimes parks blocking the pavement but the main issue is when he parks blocking the view of oncoming traffic at the junction, this is a very busy road and our only way out of the street (without taking a big detour), we're forced to just chance it. There's already been an incident with a cyclist because of it, I fear one day there will be a serious crash here.

Unsafe Road works, 13th May
The A164 Has recently been resurfaced with loose road chippings without any means of bonding surface chips to the road surface. Being an engineer it puzzles Me as to what the objective is. I ride a motorcycle and i can assure you this method of so called road preservation is not safe or of fit for purpose regardless to what ever speed limit is recommended, I feel its only a question of time before some one has a serious accident due to this problem, also the damage this causes to Cars and motorcycles, Brakes Radiators, lights , and Paintwork. You Have a duty to repair the roads to a recommended standard , in my view this is not the case and so i feel compelled to take action before someone gets injured , killed or suffers damage to personal property and means of travelling. Please can you send me a reply as i wish to make a complaint to stop this waist of tax payers money and compromising road users safety . I will remind you we are living in the year 2021 and not 1721 .

Builder has left gravel bag on grass area for over 2 months. He told me he, 15th May
The people at number 39 Wright Crescent had an extension built earlier this year. After the work was completed I had a moan to the builder about the churned up green in front of our houses and the leftover rubbish. He did fill in the ground and took a lot of the rubbish away apart from a bag of gravel that he said he would get removed. That was over a month ago but it is still there and I wondered if someone at the council could do something about it please.

20inch long deep pothole along edge of carriageway, 6th March
Pothole is on the vehicle entryway to six flats between number 90 and 92/94 Cardigan Road. It is quite deep as well as long. It means that cars when entering and exiting are knocking the front overhang underside of the vehicle. This has been an issue for over a year but getting worse as the street cleaning vehicle keeps brushing out more of the substructure of the road.

Repeater signs for transition to 30mph, 3rd February
At this junction, there is a transition from 40mph (A165) to 30mph. It is very easily to miss the 30mph sign as it is on a corner where attention is drawn to the merging traffic from the A614. There are no repeater signs for the entire road despite there being a hospital and school on the road.
I realise it is no longer a legal requirement to have speed repeater signs, but in this case it would be a benefit to drivers as I know of many people who have been mistaken.
