Road damaged by contractors. Not rectified after approx. two years., 2nd January
Very poor reinstatement of surface by subcontractors of Linden Homes, from approx two years ago. No action taken by Linden despite numerous requests by village councillor. Surface is now disintegrating and becoming more dangerous fro two wheelers. County council say they do not have the powers to rectify problem and charge back to Linden.

Traffic bollards damaged and missing, 23rd April
As you can see from the photo one traffic bollard is damaged and leaning and the other one is missing , These bollards are recently new and it was noticed early yesterday bank holiday Monday 22nd that the damage appeared.

Dangerous tree branch, 9th July
Hello, there is a dangerous tree branch overhanging the roadway in Forge Valley where the roadway inclines (can't give exact spot). I am reporting on behalf of an elderly friend who lives on Carr Lane, East Ayton who saw it which is why the information is sketchy.

Road deterioration, 28th March
There are potholes on both sides of the carriageway on Racecourse Road and the area around the mini roundabout is badly degrading all the way along the Main Street nearly as far as the crossing.

Pot hole in the road next to the car park for the library, 20th March
The road is called Chapel Garth and there is an enormous pot hole in the road next to the side entrance of the library. When nycc workmen were there on the main A170 fixing pot-holes there they were asked to do something about that one and they said they didn't have it on their list to do.

New Footpath, 5th November
There are weeds growing up though the middle of our new footpath. it will not take long for all the good work to be ruined. The base can not have been done in the correct way. Was a private contractor used? Have they been paid in full or have you a contingency withheld payment?
