Recently a new oad surface was laid which is very poor. It looks rough, chippings still all over the road and holes appearing. It looks like it is not completed and needs a top surface laying!

Bus Stop to close to junction, 27th September
Bus stop is located too close to a junction. Scalby Road is a very busy main road needs moving 50-100 meters up Station Road to avoid the backing up of traffic from station road in to Scalby road. This has always been a problem but now much worse due to the housing estate that's been built nearby.

Lots of potholes across the crissing, 10th November
Vehicles with trailers hit the holes and bounce down the hill, causing my house to vibrate. It happens early in a morning and at tea time. I notified NYCC and they informed me they could not afford to put it right

Drainage grid loose oposite 32a high street Burniston Scarborough, 10th October
A large drain cover which is marked with a yellow cross,the grid is causing a loud clunking noise 24/7 and is hit by every vehiclle passing from Scarborough to Whitby on the A171, this is now causing myself and nighbours major upset due to nothing being done to rectify the problem despite being reported. please can someone at least look at this problem asap

Muddy road surface, 2nd February
Construction works leaving muddy road surface which is slippery to walk on. As there is no footpath here so walking on the road cannot be avoided. Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, employers have a duty to look after the health and safety, not only of themselves, their family and employees, but of anyone who may be affected by their working operations.

Lamp not lit - at all!, 26th May
Lamp number 1, in Hay Brow Close is not lit at any time. This is the only lamp in the Close, and after midnight (when it goes off) the whole Close is in pitch darkness. Can the lamp be made to remain on? It seems that when there are two lamps on after midnight in nearby Glen Close (nos 1 & 3) it would seem appropriate to have the Hay Brow Close lamp set to remain on as well. Perhaps one of the Glen Close lamps can be set to be off at midnight, to make way for the Hay Brow Close lamp to remain on?

Unofficial road sign, 16th March
Road sign is non compliant. This is one of several in the vicinity that have an incorrect yellow background. The matter was originally reported to NYCC two years ago (April 2013) and has never been remedied despite an assurance it would be.
