Footpath overgrown with trees and bushes, 31st July
The foliage from the trees and hedges which are part of the highway have grown to big and now cover the footpath that people using are having to walk on the road to bypass the obstruction. Also adjacent to a main road and close to bus stop used by schoolchildren. The Council say that the trees are not their responsibility but offer no idea who is responsible even although the obstruction should be their responsibility to remove it from their highway. We are being dismissed and have no system to appeal

Hugely overgrown hedge/bush on corner of Green Island leading to Porritt Lane, 20th June
The hedge/bush severely restricts the view of any traffic trying to safely pull out of Green Island onto Porritt Lane. It is so dense you have to edge out too far, putting yourself, your passengers and other road users at risk. There are so many near misses, in fact one this lunchtime (20/06/23) I’m aware people might think you can hear oncoming cars - but what if you’re hearing impaired? What about electric cars, they’re almost silent. There’s a large contingency of older people live in Green Island who surely deserve, like the rest of us, to feel safe driving on the village roads. This has been a problem for a few years now, and obviously by design, it gets worse by the year.

Obscured Pedestrian Road Crossing, 25th May
Crossing the roundabout at the designated area at south side. As a pedestrian you have to start crossing the road due to vegetation running along the West side (railway side ) before you can see if there are any cars coming, When in the central reservation, there is no clear view across the roundabout to see if there is traffic entering from the North side, again you have to start crossing, across the hatched area to around 1/3rd of the way across, then step back as a car comes round. Clearing the line of sites from a pedestrians point of view would help to see if it is clear and to allow pedestrians to be seen earlier by the car drivers. This is my daily walk to work, twice a day along with quite a few others and feel for your life at times trying to negotiate. Looking at most of the drivers they seem to be oblivious to even acknowledge there is a pedestrian, never mind the new highway code.
