ISSUE: Residents from our rural community are concerned about an increase in the theft of Quads and All Terrain Vehicles.

May 2018The local teamu00a0have increased high visibility patrols in rural locations conducting police checks on any suspicious persons and vehicles.
Thefts communicated to public via Community Messaging Service (CMS) to show any reoccurring themes so public can better protect themselves.
Working with Partner agencies (NFU and National Intel Agency) to prevent and detect rural crimes.
This month a male was arrested for the theft of a trailer following an operation conducted by the SNT team to target this crime - Investigation ongoing.

July 2018Safer Neighbourhood Team member attended the Sheep Sale at Honeybourne to promote security advice.u00a0u00a0Other partner agencies were alsou00a0present to promote their security options.
As a result of a continued operation by the SNT 8 people in total have been arrestedu00a0for various theft related offences.u00a0 All the thefts were of farm vehicles and machinery.u00a0 Investigations are still ongoing.

July 2019The last 12 months have seen a marked reduction in rural crime of this type.u00a0 CMS and NHW have assisted in this reduction together with targetted patrols by the SNT.u00a0 In the past 2 weeks SNT have noted a slight increase in this type of crime on the South of the area.u00a0 SNT will be working with local farmers and 'We Don't Buy Crime' team from West mercia to prevent further increase andu00a0to improve security includingu00a0distribution of Smartwater for farms in the coming months.

ISSUE: Increase in rural house burglaries in Bredon andu00a0throughout the Safer Neighbourhoodu00a0Teamu00a0area.
ACTION: South Worcestershire Community Safety Partnership have contacted all Parish Councils to encourage them to take part in a Smart Water village initiative which is being fully supported by the local team.

A number of local villages including Bredon and Eckington have signed up to the Smartwater initiative.u00a0 A number of NHW schemes have been rigorously reinstated.
SNT will continue with increased patrols throughout the summer months in an attempt to decrease incidents.u00a0
