Traffic signals slow, 5th October
The traffic lights near the firestation heading towards the atherleigh bypass seem to be missing letting traffic go and only letting a few cars through at a time where the other set of lights are letting quite a lot of cars through

The footpath between Beech Drive and Landside is overgrown with hedgerows, nettles etc. making it difficult for pedestrians to get through

Road poor condition multiple pot holes, 22nd February
Road really ruff pot holes to the left hand side. Personally I think this road needs re laying this year

Mud on road .and air pollution caused by traffic entering and leaving kenyon railway junction aggeregate recycling centre, 16th October
Build up of mud on road from opus utilities site. No effort by the company is being made to address this problem . When its wet its mud when its dry its dust.

Faulty Traffic light phasing at peak times, 19th September
The phasing on the lights at the junction of A580 & Atherleigh Way seems to be allowing a large build up of traffic on A580 reducing that road to one lane at around 4pm weekdays. This occurs for traffic driving from the direction of Manchester, and waiting to turn right onto Atherleigh Way towards Leigh Sports Village etc. It can take approx 10 minutes to pass through these lights.

New LED lights too bright, 19th July
Dear Sir/Madam, Another LED light has been fitted. I now have one at the front and one at the side of my house. I have one LED light beaming into my bedroom, so I have had put put in temporary blinds as well as curtains to keep the light out. This has been the case for over 12 months. The new Led light has just been installed at the side of house; it beams in the landing window ( which then illuminates my bedroom further) ,back bedroom window and bathroom window and lights up my whole back garden. It is like a floodlight! My whole house is artificially illuminated. I have had difficulty sleeping due to the first Led light at the front of the house but haven't mentioned anything up until this point. The second Led light that has been fitted is so bright that i have had to bring it to your attention. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Cans (litter) left in no mans land, 4th February
There is a small piece of land that Wigan Council wanted left as a “sight line” when the new houses were built. It is over a very very low wall between the footpath and the garden fence. There are many unsightly cans accumulating. Please could these be removed when Newton Road is cleaned.
