Dog fouling all round the Ditton area!!, 21st April

Sun, 21 Apr 2024 13:27:13 +0100
53.366041 -2.762279

This is the second time I have reported this issue. Why is the council not bothered about cleaning the pavements of Ditton. I no for a fact that this has not been done for at least two years the dog fouling is horrendous and everywhere we walk every corner we turn there is dog fouling or disgusting small black bags squashed into the pavement or partially hidden behind a street light. This has to stop!! Can someone also tell why the council has a dedicated cleaning of pavements in the Upton Rocks area of Widnes! The pavements in this area seem free of dog fouling and yet in Ditton not one cleaner of pavements

Rubbish cycle lane, 21st April

Sun, 21 Apr 2024 10:39:53 +0100
53.352424 -2.737937

Indirect, stops for no reason, crosses several major roads, and doesn't link in with any other infrastructure. Who designed this garbage? There's no point to having 100 yards of segregated cycle lane, if that's all there is.

Whichever contractor fixed the road after the recent roadworks did a rubbish job. The new surface isn't smooth and is like cycling over currugsted sheets. The contractor made your roads worse!

Old town parking issues, 18th April

Thu, 18 Apr 2024 13:52:25 +0100
53.342208 -2.731251

Vehicles parking on double yellow lines on Public Hall Street is an accident waiting to happen - Weatherspoon's getting deliveries means the road is blocked and no one can get in or out of this street. Also if you are exiting as there is only road available (when it isn't blocked) if a car comes in it is going to cause an accident. I had to wait to turn right into Public Hall street to get to work and as there was a delivery van blocking the road. I pulled into the bus depot so cars behind me could move past me and I got shouted at by another driver for holding them up. It is awful on Public Hall street and also in the Old town itself and something needs to be done.

Cars persistently parked on double yellow, 31st March

Sun, 31 Mar 2024 16:31:26 +0100
53.367873 -2.757434

This is a persistent problem. Cars park on the double yellows on the approach to the trafic light junction, this then causes the left lane used for going straight on to become blocked until all the trafic in the right lane (used for turning right only) has cleared. I've even witnessed police cars sat in trafic waiting due to these cars parked there, instead of doing there job and sorting the issue

On Hale road coming up towards the traffic lights opposite Dundalk road. There are vehicles parking on broken double yellow lines. These vehicles park right up to the lights which is causing problems with traffic not being able to get through the lights when on green and traffic turning right into Dundalk Road. Problem has been for a very long time now and nothing being done to enforce the issue. Peak times in the morning are a problem.

Sun, 25 Feb 2024 10:38:44 +0000
53.363301 -2.762472

We walk around the Ditton area everyday. From Francis Close down to St Michael’s along Ditchfield Road all the way to Hough green station then along Liverpool Road back down Hale road then home. The pavements in all those areas above are covered in dog fouling and it’s getting worse. It seriously needs cleaning up and fine those responsible.

Junction of potholes and uneven road surface!, 20th February

Tue, 20 Feb 2024 06:47:29 +0000
53.357388 -2.76747

The junction at Hale road traffic lights and Ditton Road near the flyover of the Speke Boulevard is a disgrace. It’s full of potholes, the grids are either sunken or raised and the road surface is uneven. This has been like this for as long as I can remember. What is being done to rectify this problem.
