Traffic lights recently altered, 7th July
Traffic lights sequence has recently been altered presumably for an event at Haydock Races. This new sequence is causing traffic to backup on surrounding area and motorway daily and is becoming more and more dangerous especially at peak times.

Traffic light - no delay, 2nd June
When coming from lodge lane, the lights used to change at the same time as the next set and remain on for a little while to allow the flow of traffic onto the M6. This has changed and they don't allow any time for additional traffic and go red straight away. Letting three cars through or one lorry and becoming dangerous for anyone who has gone through the lights to the queue as incoming traffic then changes straight away and they start moving forward. This is backing up lodge lane.

Yet another accident at jct22 M6/A49 through double set of lights. third accident I have seen this year. Phasing of lights and visiblity of lights from A49 southbound onto A580/?M6 south is applapplling. just a matter of time before another accident occurs., 31st May

Lights not letting enough vehicles through, 18th October
The lights at Haydock island, on the Liverpool bound side of the A580 do not let enough vehicles through. There is an almost constant traffic jam of well over half a mile at these lights. This isn't just during rush hour. Please investigate as the delays are avoidable.
