Pothole, 20th December
There is a pothole in the middle lane of the M6 northbound just south of junction 23. Hit it yesterday and damaged the coiled spring on my car.

Fence damaged, 2nd December
M6 northbound, south of Jct 23 to east of Rob Lane. The fencing has fallen over for about 6 sections onto the motorway embankment. Possibly due to the weight of cables strung along it. Nothing to prevent people or animals accessing the motorway. Needs replacing asap.

Middle Lane between J22 and J23/J24 north potholes, 31st July
Middle lane of M6 north between J22 and J23/24 is riddled with potholes / rutted road surface. This appears to be where previous road markings have been removed for the roadworks. My car lurched to one side tonight as I drove along this stretch and my wheel entered a rut, then I ran over what looked like a strip of tarmac that had become dislodged from the road surface.

Illegal car parking, 3rd July
Cars parking on both sides of the highway, blocking the footways on both sides of the road, this happens through the week in the evenings when attending a gym / fitness class from 6pm.
This is a serious safety issue and needs to be stopped immediately.

Northbound carriageway large potholes middle lane, 30th March
Where a previous trench has been filled in has now produced a severe long and deep pothole in the middle lane of the northbound carriageway. Approx 5:30pm 30/03 there were large pieces of tarmac on lanes 2 and 3 as well as the deep potholes. Potential danger to road users.

From a Network Rail visual exam a recommendation was made to check that the access gate at span 1 is locked and secure as it doesn't appear locked.

Cars/Vans on pavement, 26th January
The offices have a car park at the rear, yet certain vehicles park fully on the pavement (double yellows) obstructing view from Golborne Dale Road. Quite dangerous.

Huge pot hole, southbound, location approx, 13th January
Hit a pot hole 27/12/22. Nearside lane. Location is approx as it was pitch black and heavy rain. It has now come to light that the pot hole damaged my wheel. Egg on inside of tire and a bust valve.

Underneath of bridge is falling off. Bridge that crosses the heritage trail from Rob Lane to newton lake, 24th August
Walking under the bridge we noticed when looking up that some of the underneath of the bridge had fallen off. Another piece fell off into the water as we walked by Don’t know how long it’s been like this

High powered spotlights M6 Jct 21a-23, 13th June
Between the roadworks section on M6 Jct 21a-23 there are 3 sets of high powered spotlights pointing across the carriageway I to the faces of oncoming drivers on both north and southbound directions. There is no obvious reason for these high powered lights as they appear to be pointing at nothing. Considering the lanes are narrow anyway I am not sure dazzling drivers is a safe thing to do

Deep pothole at junction has been here for 1 month. Very dangerous as drivers are focusing on crossing the junction and most cars hit the pothole.

Road markings are none existant on this stretch of road, the road is a National speed limit and it is very difficult when driving at night or early in the morning.
The cat’s eye / reflectors need replacement and the road markings need re doing.
