Faulkner's Lane, near Dacre House, same side of road, 27th April

Sat, 27 Apr 2024 15:30:23 +0100
53.310876 -2.301501

Pothole on left side, after turning into this road from Hall Ln (B5085). Near grid near Dacre House and on the same side. Saw this at 8:15 25 April 2024. Not sure how long it has been there, but it certainly does not appear to be new. Further down the road are many other potholes too. Unable to avoid the pothole due to an oncoming vehicle, I hit the pothole with my nearside front wheel which tore the sidewall which immediately deflated and destroyed the tyre.

Newton Hall lane. WA16 7LL, 23rd April

Tue, 23 Apr 2024 15:34:20 +0100
53.321132 -2.29467

The existing pothole was filled today but rubbish from the pothole and bits of traffic cone are strewn across the road, pavement and my property. This has already caused significant damage to my lawn by the pavement and the debris from the pothole and the cones has to be cleaned and removed. Also, the reason the pot hole was there in the first place, is because of an extremely blocked drain which has been blocked since November 2023. This also needs to be unblocked to prevent any further issues.

It looks like there are lots of other reports about the pot holes here so we will just add our voice to the other reports about the further deterioration in the road surface at this location. We understand that the large vehicles coming in and out of the site will lead to quicker deterioration over time, we often have to report pot holes in this location, but the state of the lane is the worse we've seen it. It should be considered unacceptable and repaired asap. Despite its location this is a well used lane, by cyclists, horse riders, walkers and residents. Avoiding the many significant pot holes is becoming impossible.

Outside the house called Greenacres, in carriageway, 16th April

Tue, 16 Apr 2024 11:56:39 +0100
53.31307 -2.29073

The pothole has been present for a long time, and its size is now significant. It presents a risk to all road users as it's on a single track lane near a blind bend in the road. Driving around this pothole increases collision risk with oncoming traffic. Also very dangerous for cyclists as the extent of the pothole can't be seen when it's rained.

Thu 5 January 2023 THIS WAS REPORTED AND STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!! Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4089674. At the beginning of last year Cheshire East Highways came out and dug a hole on the pavement to do drainage work. This hole has been covered over by a large piece of wood and has been like this for over a year. Its dangerous and needs sorting out. The drain they were working on was due to flooding at Rose Wood House, this is starting to flood again. All drains have been jetted on Rose Wood House and the blockage seems to be where you dug up and left over a year ago.
