Road is unfit for use, 7th April
Amount of deterioration of tarmac and pot holes from Dunham traffic lights to the top of South Downs road is dangerous. This road needs resurfacing urgently before there is an accident. I nearly burst a tyre driving at 30 yesterday just as the surface is so uneven/pot holes are unavoidable

Multiple potholes in front of school, 19th March
Where cars turn into and exit the Altrincham Prep School there are multiple potholes across both sides of the road. They would present a hazard for kids cycling across this area. Diameter 15-20cm and depth around 10 cm.

Traffic lights not working correctly, 26th February
When approaching these lights at 05.30 when they are on red they do not change to green as usual I have been going to work for years this way and they always change to green when you get to the lights or seconds after stoping at them. There is no traffic going through the other side and you eventually have to go through them on red after checking for traffic. It looks like the sensor under he road is not sensing vehicles at the lights.

Junction of a56 leading to Bowden roundabout, 24th January
The lane markings approaching the roundabout (from lymm) are not clear relative to which of the 3 lanes to join on the roundabout. There is a near miss here every morning as users join the roundabout from the incorrect lanes (as marked). There are no road signs on the approach to help guide users to the correct lane in advance, and traffic build up means you cannot see the road markings when the lanes are occupied. sat nav lane indications contradict the painted road markings. There are no guide lanes (dashed lines) on to the 3 roundabout lanes, which would help prevent crossover.

Uneven surface, 4th January
The road joint between the bridge and the road on both sides of the bridge and both carriageways are sinking. I have been going to work for the past 16 years over these joints and they have never been this bad, they have sunk so causing a speed bump so when diving over them it’s makes a right bang on the suspension on my car and motorcycle.

Pot holes, 4th January
I have reported this at the beginning of November and nothing has been done it is now getting worse and as a motorcyclist and a car driver these potholes need seeing to I have reported these potholes at this site 3 times over 4 years and all you do is bog them up with tarmac and it just keeps coming out over time why don’t you do a proper job and re-tarmac this part of this road

I have reported the potholes at this site 3 times over 4 years and all you do is bog them up with tarmac and it just keeps coming out over time why don’t you do a proper job and re-tarmac this part of this road

Bridge join substantially higher than road surface, 4th September
Bridge joint on both carriageways substantially higher than road surface. Leads to substantial bump up when driving over joint onto Bridge. Causes severe jolt and when used twice daily could cause damage to cars ie shockers, wheels, tyres, alloys, etc bottoming out.
