Crash in black cock bridge car dumped in hall lane with damge, 10th May
Another crash in the black cock bridge tonight there is a car that’s been left at the end of hall lane near the bridge with a lot of damage. How fast are these cars going it’s a blind submit as I have reported before with NO SIGNAGE to say so! How is this safe?? Something needs to be done there should be traffic lights to control the traffic as it’s a single bridge with a blind submit.

The black cock bridge is a BLIND SUMMIT yet there are no signs saying this? There was another accident tonight in the bridge it’s so dangerous why are there no traffic lights at the bridge it’s a blind bridge and many people don’t even beep their cars when they go over and a lot of people go over at speed too it’s only a matter of time until so etching really bad happens, 7th May
This is a common issue we live only a few doors down from the bridge and in the summer have heard a lot of accidents happen. It is so dangerous. Hall lane also has so many people speeding at the end of the black cock there are children who live along the lane and a lot of dogs and cats. At somepoint there’s going to be a really nasty incident god forbid but the speed bumps stop part way down the lane and this is where them people drive so fast can’t something be done about the black cock end of the lane as it’s getting worse

Witnessed two cars collide over blind summit on bridge, 7th May
07/May/2024 I was walking the dog, had just crossed over by the bridge, then two cars collide, despite both sounding their horns. It seems like no-one was hurt - this time. Whilst the bridge was being painted and the barrier being installed, there were temporary traffic lights, which massively reduced any possibility of collision. This should be considered as a permanent fixture.

Illegal and dangerous parking on Shire Ridge for School Pickups, 11th March
Despite there being double yelow lines on both side of Shire Ridge where it joins with the Lichfield Road. every day (apart from wednesdays) at just before 3pm - parents are parking not only on the double yellow lines, they are also double parked on both sides of the street causing an obstruction, and also within 10Ms of the Junction.
The bend before the junction and for those turning into shire ridge is blind and there have been several near misses where cars are in the middle of the road. They also creating a hazard for those children who choose the better option and walk to and from school and do not need their parents to nearly park in the classroom to collect them, as they are trying to cross roads between these parked cars, again the number of near misses seen now is becoming unacceptable.

Road signs, 3rd March
There was horse riding sign, on entrance to castlehill from Chester rd, there is going to be an accident shortly on castlehill with horse ridden animals & speed of vehicles coming off Chester rd, other than the sign being hit by an articulated lorry who was using this lane as a cut through to the local B&M near to the bottom of castlehill rd, which was reported at the time, as it look a lot of big branches with it from front of dwellings & the farm, the big arch of trees isn’t used to such high vehicles, this lane onto castlehill rd, is being used along with shire ridge, shire oak, onto Holly lane castlehill rd & castlefort rd, since the traffic lights where sequenced at streets corner, in rush hour times this estate is with care homes & schools, there’s a lot of elderly too, it’s a rabbit run, young people ride their horses, we understand horses are not to everyone’s liking, we are courteous to other road users, local taxi drivers are completely ignorant to horses, by how close at speed, some in electric vehicles which is another problem, startling for anyone when again speed is the massive issue here, not to mention up to date hyway code, regarding speed & space & if need be stop if there a problem & a rider signals the traffic to stop, they’ll remove the problem as quickly as possible if is the horse, I’ll await your reply Kind regards Mrs J Kendall
