FIXMYSTREET IN WS2 9AQ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of WS2 9AQ:
Poor/no access for bigger vehicles (bin men), 23rd April
Cars and vans are parking with their wheels up to the edge of the double yellow line and overhanging over it. This is an issue for bigger vehicles to gain access into the "yard". The main issue is with Suez the bin vehicle which doesn't have the space/width because of the narrow ish road to swing round to access the quite narrow entrance

J9 joining M6 southbound faded white line marking end of slip road, 1st April
Joining the M6 southbound at junction 9 the left hand lane is a long slip road. The lane marking on the right hand side eventually turns from a dashed white line into a solid white line and it becomes the hard shoulder but the diagonal white line across to mark the transition from slip road to hard shoulder has faded. The problem is this lane on approach to junction 8 then turns back to a dashed white line and it becomes the slip road again for the M5 so vehicles often go the whole way from J9 to J8 in the far left lane thinking they are in the exit lane for the M5 because of the dashed line from J9 but not realising the lane has changed to the hard shoulder and they should only merge left to J8 after the hard shoulder section in between. This is an issue when the smart motorway overhead gantry isn’t running and doesn’t say if the far left lane is closed or open.

Traffic lights sequence, 29th March
Trafic light sequence is wrong, junction is constantly blocked at peak times from the j10 south exit slip road up to the ring road. Also a yellow box junction would be beneficial.

Residential Car Park Issue, 28th March
Parking in our residential car park has become distressing and a continuous issue now. There have been several times we (the residents of 10, 12, 14, 16 Emery street, Walsall) have been unable to park our cars because they are filled with non-residents' cars. There is a clear sign in the residential car park informing it is a "Residents and Service Vehicle Only Car park" but this is not being complied by the residents across the street. There is even a disabled lady living in the block for whom even the carers have struggled to find space because these are always filled with non-residents' cars. Few times this has caused alot of annoyance and arguments which we surely want to avoid. Some of the authorised residents have little babies and come back late and not finding a space really causes a lot of issue and distress. Some residents across the street have 3,4 cars per household and they end up dumping them in our residential car park for few days. Please can we have some sort of Residents only Permit Parking System operational 24 hours hours a day 7 Days a week. If you (the council) do not wish to do this, can we suggest for you to trial it?
Thank you.
