Constant parking on pavement makes pedestrian passing impossible, 29th March

Fri, 29 Mar 2024 09:41:01 +0000
53.724076 -1.457111

Since the ‘Wakefield hub’ opened, lorries and vans have been using this pavement to park. There is no pavement on the opposite side of the road so pedestrians have to walk in the road. As this is often lorries, pedestrians have to walk the full length of a lorry (sometimes 2) along a dangerous and fast road that is on a bend.

Extremley gaded white lines, 7th February

Wed, 07 Feb 2024 23:11:54 +0000
53.716662 -1.496382

The white lines at the junction of Leeds Road and Canal Lane have worn away to barely visible. This is leading to oncoming traffic from lofthouse direction, coming towards the lane for right turner's into canal lane, as they cannot clearly see it is an oncoming lane, not a lane for them. I travel this route daily and have witnessed several near misses, included with the 110 bus. I feel this has now become a public safety matter. Please can this be reviewed and the lines refreshed on the roads. If you are local, you know the road, but for many travelling through, it seems to cause potential accidents. This has been noticable now for a number of weeks.

Low loader / recovery vehicle parked on residential street, 4th February

Sun, 04 Feb 2024 09:59:55 +0000
53.712456 -1.492393

This low loader / recovery vehicle is often parked on the street in a residential area and is also usually parked outside someone else's house. It is also usually causing an obstruction on the street so that an emergency vehicle, such as an ambulance or fire engine, would not be able to get past. Finally it is also quite a loud vehicle and will often arrive or set off in the early hours of the morning which will wake me up.

Completely unsafe, large hole has been left at the bottom of the stairs from workers landscaping the garden of the house opposite. The flags are heavy and ground is now uneven (this is public/council property not theirs) and my disabled son almost fell down the hole coming down the stairs. Work started this week but will go on until Monday as the earliest finishing date.
