Traffic light timings are wrong!, 11th March
When leaving the M62 and waiting to proceed to turn left onto the A653 towards Dewsbury, traffic travelling onto the A650 are backing up and blocking traffic moving forward, it seems that the on coming traffic are blocking the route, can someone review the traffic light timings or road sensors, and try to rectify this problem, it happens mainly in the morning during peak hours.

Some years ago the council planted conifers close to my house and as they have grown I regularly have to have my phone/broadband cable replaced, 16th February
A branch now overhangs the road and is already interfering with the phone cable which will eventually have to be replaced again. Branches need chopping off or the trees reduced in height greatly.

Drivers not following Highway Code, 9th February
Vehicles are turning out of quarry lane give way junction with no regard for vehicles U turning at the relevant U turn point on the dual carriageway. The Highway Code states that as this is a give way junction then vehicles at the give way point should give way to traffic on the main road. Which they are not. I’ve had several lorry type vehicles turn into me and nearly hit me because they do not understand the road laws or have any regard for vehicles already on the dual carriageway.

Parked on pavement, 1st December
These cars and van are parked fully on the pavement, the van is on a corner making it hard to see on coming traffic , the road is narrow , the parking around here has got worse and worse, its about time it was monitored, a few of us on the street would like permit only parking ,to stop people just leaving there cars on our little cul-de-sac, the way the van and cars are parked would prevent emergency services getting passed , its the only entrance to our street . We have had letter sent to everyone over safe parking , but its not only our street people from up the road also park there , 1 familys adult children also park there even though they do not live there , sometime soon in this weather someone is going to get hurt

Dog barking from 7.25am most days for Over 6 months, 26th September
The dog is owned by a couple who live on Longwood road . It spends a lot of its time barking in the garden of number 25 ....some relative of owner . The 2 households appear to be totally oblivious to the noise this animal makes . Council have been unhelpful and advised us to approach the owners of the properties concerned and keep logs of times . I record the barking at regular intervals but honestly do not feel I can confront theses people without escalation .Some of my neighbours work from home the barking must be distracting .When the dog is barking we have to close windows or turn music on ...this is unacceptable...we should be able to just sit .They park their vehicles without consideration of other road users and often rev up a large boat in their garden .

Cats eyes are less visible than white lines, 16th August
Where the roadworks start on the Eastbound carriageway, there are cats eyes moving the lanes to the left. However the original white lines aren't blacked out properly. This means some drivers are following the cats eyes and some are following the white lines. It's causing near misses.

M62 drainage channels entirely full of detritus and litter, 10th April
The entire M62 is a disgrace, especially the drainage channels, which are entirely filled with years of uncleared soil, detritus, litter and debris. The road surface cannot drain because all drains are blocked and channels already full. National Highways and their contractors are negligent and in breach of their obligations entirely on almost every motorway in the country. I expect you will take no action, as anywhere else, but i I only hope making such reports will serve as evidence of your inaction in case of a serious accident related to this ongoing neglect.
