Cars turning and blind corners RTC, 17th January
Get another RTC at the top of hillside due to cars turning and a blind corner. NYP log NYP-17012024-0177. We need some form of traffic slowing method on the corner as well as no turning signs putting up on the junction. The corner traveling east on Sutton lane needs a Chicane on the westbound lane slowing cars around the corner limiting it to one lane on the corner to minimise more RTCs and help pedestrians on the blind dangerous bend when crossing over from Hillside to West Acres.

Dangerous parking, 15th November
An unknown occupant or occupants of The Anvil apartments, Weeland Road in knottingley is persistently, night and day, parking in a place in front of the apartments which blocks vision of anyone exiting the carpark belonging to the apartments. This is on a very fast and dangerous road as the 30mph limit is never adhered too. This parking also blocks safe vision to pedestrians wishing to cross here. It is the exit of a public footpath and there is also a traffic sign on this area to make people aware that children cross here. This issue has started within the last 3 months and happens daily. I personally have to pull out on to this road in my car and have to cross here as a pedestrian. In both circumstances I have to be out into the road before I can see past these vehicles, there is definitely going to be an accident, which may involve children stepping out to see past these vehicles. The vehicles involved are a white Rangerover, a blue Volkswagon estate and a highways agency Mercedes Sprinter, all of which are large and sometimes two of them are parked together in this dangerous place. They are always completely on the pavement, on the inside of the single yellow line. I would really appreciate your help with this issue.

High fence obstructing view at junction, 28th June
A high fence has been put up around the land where the cherry tree pub used to be due to the height and positioning of the fence it is obstructing the view when exiting cow lane cannot see cars coming from Marsh end until last minute accident waiting to happen

Dangerous parking, 17th June
Cars and van parked on blind bend, on a bus stop AND opposite a junction ! And now the corner that had ‘Cherry tree public house’ on has had a high fence put arround the land and cars coming from Cow lane impossible to see to the right on this blind bend making it even more dangerous…been bad for months but last week added to it when erected this fence…it is ridiculous ..

Large and very deep pot hole bottom of hill at junction of Rossiter drive and spurriers avenue, 9th June
This pothole has been here for over 3 months. It’s at the bottom of a narrow junction between Spurriers avenue and Rossiter Drive, Knottingley, WF11 0EX the location where it is makes it very difficult to miss without driving over it. There are elderly people on this road and I’m concerned that if they hit the pothole it will do serious damage to cars causing them hassle and stress.

Lots of rubbish on the playing fields, 18th April
The council cut the grass a few weeks again and all this rubbish was left. There’s a lot of shredded cans/broken glass etc. The field is popular with children from the estate and also used lots by dog walkers. Could the rubbish be collected please?
