FIXMYSTREET IN TW2 5QA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TW2 5QA:
Temporary traffic lights causing chaos, 8th May
Temporary traffic lights have been erected at the junction of Hospital Bridge Rd with Percy Road and the right hand lane has been closed off. Consequently traffic is backing up to the A316 and preventing east bound traffic from crossing the roundabout. The result of this is that eastbound traffic is backing up to well beyond the A312 roundabout and traffic is seeking an alternative route via Staines Rd and a residential estate causing grid lock and residents unable to enter or leave the estate. The temporary traffic lights are presumably to do with telecoms works which according to OneNetwork have a permit starting 15 May so they are not needed until then and should be removed. No work is being carried out at the moment. This whole issue needs to be properly managed as the A316 roundabout is a bottleneck at the best of times and this has made it 10 times worse. Get a grip Richmond Council!
