Blocked drain Northbound A244 in the central reservation opposite road sign 026, 14th April

Sun, 14 Apr 2024 19:01:12 +0100
51.403534 -0.433557

The drain in the Northbound carriageway of the A244 north of Charlton Lane opposite road sign 026 is blocked. This drain has a manhole cover next to it. Whenever there is anything more than a shower the carriageway floods to a degree that vehicles cannot safely use the marked lane and a force to use the marked hatched area and the bicycle lane. This has been an ongoing problem for well over six months.

High speed cyclists and moped riders on pavement, 29th March

Fri, 29 Mar 2024 16:50:52 +0000
51.404443 -0.417117

There is no "street" connection between Anvil Road (actually Forge Lane, which is an extension of Anvil Road) and Martingale Close, so cars cannot pass through. There is a pavement, thanks to which pedestrians can take a shortcut to Green Street, where is a bus stop, which is very convenient for residents of this side of Lower Sunbury. Unfortunately, the same shortcut is used, more and more often, by cyclists and, even worse, moped drivers, who ride on the pavement at high speeds. This poses a great threat to the inhabitants of the houses adjacent to this pavement/shortcut, especially since many children live there. Leaving the house through the front garden gate now involves the fear of being hit. Likewise, it is very dangerous for other people moving on this pavement, and this is quite a large number of people, including elderly people who visit the nearby cemetery. Could the local council put some speed barriers (or other obstructions) on this pavement that would still allow pedestrians to take this shortcut, but which would force cyclists and moped riders to dismount from their vehicles and slowly walk across the pavement? It can also be any other solution, but the one concrete post (see pictures), that is currently located there, does not pose any obstacle to the group of cyclists and moped riders mentioned above. I would be grateful if the council could do something about this problem before there was a tragedy involving children or the elderly.

Broken grids along Sunbury Cross Underpass, 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 20:07:46 +0000
51.418682 -0.421955

There are metal grids along the Sunbury Cross underpass. These 'grids' are long pieces of metal with holes in them. Some of these have been broken (become loose and have fallen into the spaces they are meant to cover) for months. I use a mobility scooter and I can just about fit between the edge of the underpass and the grids. Please prioritise this complaint as the situation is very dangerous and I am worried for the safety of the public.

Big dip in pavement obstructs pedestrians, mobility vehicles and buggies, 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 09:43:28 +0000
51.42359 -0.427461

This dip in 2 places was fixed a while ago but not up to the standard, it has gone back to what it was before. It is obstructing pedestrians especially elderly there are not much room in pavement to walk around when rains as it gets filled up with rain water and leafs. Also during night people walk into the dip and fell down. It affects people on mobility scooter and push chairs / buggies. We were expecting it will be fixed part of the on going works in Cadbury Road but this has not been picked up. Kindly fix this pavement in both locations.
