Road drain blocked again, 9th February
The road drain on the corner does not drain away leave a pool of water half way across the road, the rest of the water crosses the road to the drain on the other side of the road and drains away slowly. The drains have been emptied lots of times before, but the problem never goes away. The pipe must be blocked under the road, so the quick vacuum it gets of the lorry, does not fix the blockage

Pothole in road at crossing. Trip hazard., 5th February
At the crossing island between Lidl and Victoria Road in Hawick, pothole reopened at previous poor repair which is difficult to avoid in certain vehicles due to the traffic island with the likely potential of causing vehicular damage.
As the pothole is on a crossing point, it also poses an injury risk to pedestrians who may trip in it, twist their ankle, or similar.

Illegal parking causing numerous traffic issues and limiting access to the streets for e.g bin lorry’s, delivery vans, ambulances, fire brigade etc. If there’s an emergency the emergency vehicles can’t get access to some streets due to inconsiderate parking. Needs addressed ASAP as this was the case a few months ago with a house fire across the street.
