Too much killing of nature, 21st July

Fri, 21 Jul 2023 15:57:15 +0100
55.569344 -2.648525

The large green on either side of the road running through St Boswells is manicured to death and is a desert to nature. i would like to see huge areas left for the grasses and wildflowers to grow- we have lost 98% of our wildflower meadows - green spaces like these can help address the issues of a decline in nature..it will also mean less tax payers money is being used, i don't like my taxes being used to fund destruction, and more labour saved that could be used more usefully to plant trees or wildflowers. we need to change our way we manage nature. thank you

Excessive detritus in gutter, 24th November

Mon, 24 Nov 2014 10:45:27 +0000
55.5714954792803 -2.65547870620731

On November 9th I passed this way on my bicycle - thanks to a close-pass by a vehicle I found myself forced into the gutter which turned out to be full (literally) of loosened surface dressing to the extent that the kerb is invisible in places. Having passed by once more on November 22nd, I see it is exactly the same. Requires sweeping to remove detritus and to allow the gutters to function efficiently.
