Abandoned vehicle, 2nd April
There is an abandoned black land rover that has been parked in the same place for about 2 months now, It has no road tax (Its marked as SORN but is parked in a public parking space) and its MOT expired in 2019. I reported it to the DVLA over a week ago but they have not done anything about it, they may have struggled to find it. It is parked behind some flats next to church street road just down a small slope, if you see some vehicles parked below some flats then it is down there and to the left.

This section of road is unlit and dangerous for pedestrians due to trees being excessively overgrown around the streetlights. It is a walking route for students between town and the college, so good lighting and safety should be a priority.

Not enough spaces, 21st August
We have a big problem with parking in our street. Although not owned, the three space parking bay, next to my house has always been allocate to my house and my two neighbors. With all the houses up this end of the street, bar us, now owning more than one vehicle we are finding it impossible to park anywhere near our house. I know there's probably nothing that can be done as it's basically first come first served for spaces but I'm frightened there is going to be a major argument if nothing can be done. One of our neighbors works for the council and brings his work van home every night then parks their other two cars in the parking bay leaving no space for anyone.

Constant reversing by articulated lorries/cars/vans etc etc, 18th March
I am constantly being woken up in the middle of the night or early (6am) hours of the morning with trucks/vans/cars CONSTANTLY using the car park entrance to turn around ! The signage at the start of glenfield road west is - NON EXISTENT - telling large vehicles there is NO THROUGH ROAD !!! This has been happening for months upon months - HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO "" REPLACE "" SIGNS THAT ARE NOT THERE ??? As a result of all the traffic turning ( with great difficulty - part of fence and sign at old folks home has been damaged by a lorry and the grass outside my block of flats has "GOUGES" out the grass from LARGE HGV WHEELS ) this is not only UNACCEPTABLE ( from a safety point of view - all large vehicles " REQUIRE " a banksman to reverse them in small or tight spaces - this can and will result in someone having a nasty accident as this is a busy through way for pedestrians and with kids going to school !!! For the sake of some proper signage that is not there - PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR _ "" NO THROUGH ROAD FOR HGV's "" with the road being closed at the moment for sewerage repairs/replacement the situation is compounded by the amount of people who think they can still get through - EVEN THOUGH SIGNS ARE THERE SAYING " ROAD CLOSED " - I counted at least 64 cars on Saturday that had to u-turn and go back - CLEAR SIGNS ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED - AS RESIDENTS ARE BEING DISTURBED ALL DAY AND ALL DAMN NIGHT !!!

Re-opening of pathway, 5th December
When is the re-instated pathway between the car park on Glenfield Road West and the footbridge over Gala water at Dale street to be finished with the top layer of tar and re-opened to the public for access ? This pathway has been closed since 18/8/2014 and has caused a lot of disruption for people trying to reach Dale st, the college, the university, the industrial est (Netherdale) and as a lovely riverside walk for young families and elderly folk wishing to enjoy a local walk away from traffic. The pathway has been widened ant built, also new lamp standards installed - it only awaits the top coat of tar to finish but it seems work has ground to a halt as for the past 2 months nothing further has been done - no lamp fixings to lamp standards, no top coat of tar to finish the pathway ! Can we have this popular (previously) pathway and walkway finished and opened as soon as possible please as for 4 months it has been closed - surely time enough to reinstate the pathway ?
